Both locations for Act II (Marion/Chambersburg and Hagerstown) are great! I do most of my clothing shopping at these two locations. Great quality clothes for great can't beat prices! Even cheaper than Goodwill in many cases, plus unlike Goodwill it is very rare to find holes and stains. I take clothes to sell to both locations and they sell very well. Weirdly the Hagerstown location takes less of my clothing, than the Marion location. In fact about 95% of my rejected clothing at the Hagerstown Act II that is not damaged is taken and sells well at the Marion location. I also find more clothes I like at the Marion location, but I honestly think it's because I'm a country girl that loves western clothing and the Hagerstown location is more geared towards urban clothing? So visit both locations because even though they are close in distance the clothing can be different, but all of it very nice. If you cosign it is very easy to sign up. They take 10 clothing items every week and will also take shoes, jewerly and purses that is not included in the clothing number. Just make sure they aren't damaged, stained or very old styles as these will be rejected at either location because they just won't sell. I'm glad they are picky because I shop her too and don't want holes or stains. Plus the women whom work at both locations are all very polite and kind. It's just another reason it's better to shop here because you just don't get that personal touch at large department stores. At department stores your just another person to bother them, if you can even find someone. If your looking for variety, great low prices, quality, and friendly staff at a clothing store you can't...
Read more07/15/2016 I found my way here after postponing driving here for the last 2 years. The place and the clothes are better than I anticipated. They have a wide selection of everything, neatly arranged so no trouble finding whatever suits you. Clothes are in mint condition and they are very reasonably priced. I was with my mom and sis and we all agreed this was an ideal place to shop. They got very good quality clothing at a bargain price. Only reason am giving this one star is the treatment I got at the cashier. This little girl needs some training/ education on customer care. She had the nerve to say my credit card was fake and even went as far as asking for my DL. I was asked to sign the back of my credit card, she didn't even compare my signature on the DL and the one she made me do on the CC. I stood there and watched people check out before me and nobody was asked for ID. Guess being black automatically means am a thief. I drove over 50 miles just to be humiliated. Young girl, I know you felt like you were displaying some sass, you must have slept well last night having made me feel like something am not. Well played but I'll be damned if I ever set my foot there ever again. You have lost not only me but my entire family and all the friends that shop here. They are black, unfortunately in 2016, a born 90s is practicing racism. Your parents and the society has failed...
Read moreUPDATE: Since they've moved to 13331 Penn Ave I've been here once to take clothes and shop around. The new store has shorter ceilings, no natural light and no good lighting. It feels as if they've relocated to a less cozy building not intended for a retail space such as this. Parking is great, just doesn't feel like a retail store from the interior or exterior. Maybe rumors but I heard the old landlord increased rent and forced them out of the old place so I have some sympathy and will remain at 4/5 stars. They've also increased hours and have later times on Thursday which is a huge plus! If only your new landlord would add some windows to your space!! As for the selection and pricing of clothing, I still find a lot of gems. However, I feel there has been an increase in flawed or dated items on the racks. Compared to items they rejected brought in by friends and me, I've been a bit disappointed lately.
One of my favorite places to shop for used clothing. I can always find name brand pieces in good condition. I often consign my own clothes here and have even made some extra cash taking friends/families clothing here instead of just being donated to Goodwill. They can be picky at times but I don't mind because it's what I would hope...
