It was our 1st time going here. We ordered a large NY style pizza. It was steaming hot and when we placed a piece on each of our plates it was goey and soft. We cut our slices into bite size pieces and enjoyed our pizza. 2nd slice - well this was an entirely different story. The pizza had cooled I had an extremely hard time cutting it and some areas couldn't cut it. I lifted the slice up and saw that it was very dark brown almost burnt. I had my husband try cutting it, didn't help. Went up to the counter and a woman came over to me to ask what I needed. I told her and she came and looked at the pizza. She said it the same color it always is. I told her it was our 1st time, we were new to the area. She said they cook it in a hot oven for 10 minutes. She suggested that next time we ask for it to be cooked for a shorter period of time. She said some other stuff about NY pizza and then I cut her off and told her I grew up in the greater NYC/NJ area and am well aware of how the pizza should be cooked. With that our conversation ended. No offer to make another properly cooked or discount for the next time we come. She brought us a box to take the remainder home. That is the definition of poor customer service. Plus the crust was tastless, the edge of it where it wasn't burnt. Real NY style pizza crust has a nice tasting dough, not a bland taste like this pizza. So those of you who read this can decide if you want to try...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust relocated to Hagerstown last year from Jersey and a 25 minute ride to Philadelphia and home to some of the best real deal Italian restaurants there are ... discovered them about a month ago and have eaten there three times so far ... in my opinion their pizza is point on and some of the best pepperoni I've "ever" had but stopped by on 2-25-23 and opted for their antipasto salad and glad I did ... WOW it was great ... not like one of the overpriced $25-30 variety I'd get in Philly with some exotic meats or whatever I wouldn't eat anyway ... but $12 with tax got me a great salad ... enough for two meals and made fresh while I waited and their "ITALIAN DRESSING" is to die for ... think it has red wine vinegar in it ... would put it up against anything Philly has to offer ... nice staff, clean, plenty of parking as in a fairly new plaza in a upscale part of Hagerstown "safe" and reasonably priced ... I'll be a frequent visitor ... try anything with that Italian dressing and you won't be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVisiting from out of town. Originally from NY, but living in the south so I thought after reading reviews that this would be really good pizza. Itās mediocre at best. Crust was awful, no flavorā¦pizza toppings were barely cooked - example, pepperoni should be crispy and oily not flat and barely cooked. Cheese should look broiled with some brown crispy bits. This cheese was whiter than snow. The pickle pizza, they used the cheapest pickles like the ones from McD*nalds. Pickle pizza in NY uses high quality juicy crunchy pickles and tons of them and then topped with fresh dill. I literally threw the whole pickle pizza in the garbage. Huge disappointment. The cheese pizza and meat pizza was okay (mediocre) so we ate it. The cheese steak sandwich was really good. The bread was just okay but the steak and cheese and toppings themselves were good. Meat to bread ratio was off. Donāt waste your money here unless youāre starving and itās the...
