The City Park Train Hub is a wonderful attraction for all ages to explore. A historically significant, last remaining 1912 Baldwin Locomotive Works Company K2 Mainline "Pacific" engine, Locomotive 202, sits on static display as the focal point of the park.
There is a pavilion that can seat 100 people.
A Train themed playground set with slide and climbing bars.
Also, a small museum is on site that asks for a nominal fee to tour, I think it is around 2 dollars for adults. Don't quote me. It displays artifacts from the time period Locomotive 202 was active. Including a telegraph machine, the original whistle, and the hardware that was removed from the outside of the engine over the years. There is also a gift shop with train related items for sale within the museum.
The monumental Locomotive 202 is open to the public to board the cabin of the engine, ring the bell, and check out the workings of the 113+/- year old Locomotive.
The Train Hub at Hagerstown City Park offers private event bookings and is the perfect place for a child's birthday party or really any event.
The City Park Train Hub is open to the public for city events throughout the year and posts regularly on Facebook and the City of Hagerstown website about current happenings at the park.
It is a great place to visit if you are anywhere near the area!
