Sherper's — Local services in Hales Corners

Ugh.. let's just start with that .. my family and I went in for scout night last night, which we thought would be a fun simple event. We walked in and it was packed, that's to be expected..no employee not one made an attempt to welcome us or explain what was going on .. my son stood in a line for 10 min for a game where the same kids continued to play and the employee just sat there. We went over to another line where there were raffle tickets being dropped off.. employee did nothing to acknowledge what was going on , I finally asked another guest and they kindly explained I had to go BACK to the front of the store sign in and there I'll get tickets.. walked up to the front and the employee who was now by the door was just standing around looking dazed. So I once again had to ask.. we then got set over to a table, this lady was helpful and the best service we got and gave my son a cookie and his "treat bag"Ok so back to the back of the store .. fought crowds of everyone not knowing what's going on and my son did a stuff the sleeping bag thing and stood back in line for the nail game .. repeat experience of the employee letting the same kids take too long.. whole time he's trying to figure out when they are going to shut the game down for the night .. my son really wanted to play so we waited for these kids to finish about 20 min ... well, when it was my son's turn he wouldn't let him do it because they were shutting it down .. are you kidding me!? You saw this young kid waiting in line this long .. what a joke !! I wasn't there with them at that second or I would have said something ... needless to say we will never attend another event of theirs again! RUDE...

I've been a customer of Sherpers for 15 years and have always had decent, not great, experiences. However, my last 2 visits were horrible. I placed an order for size 10 1/2 men's shoes on a saturday. I was told they'd be ready by next Friday. I did not receive a call by Friday so by Sunday I stopped in. I was told that the order was not placed and asked who did I place it with. I told them I didn't know his name but he was younger guy working in the shoe department. I was told that without the name of the person who I ordered them through I would have to reorder. I was told this by the manager! The cashier was trying to get to the bottom of it while the manager decided to take a break. So I ended up leaving and came back 2 days later and placed another order with a girl by the name of Amy who is probably the only good employee working there. I ended up getting the shoes but it will be my last purchase at this business. I had a problem with them back in March too but I'm not going to even get into that. Too many teens working here with an unmotivated manager. UPDATE: The General Manager of Sherpers called me a couple days after this review. He apologized and offered to pay for the shoes. I did not take him up on the offer because that isn't what I'm about. It was a very nice gesture on Sherpers part. I hope that if I come back to Sherpers the customer service is better. That's all I expect from a business. Good...

When enter the store to purchase the NATO large rucksack backpack I was in the process of looking at it checking out the straps when I then heard over the intercom 9-1-1 to another employee 9-1-1 to another employee I then was found around the store by an old man with Sandy gray hair it was clear they thought that I was there to steal when in reality I was there to spend money they don't have all the pieces there their equipment the lady at the front desk was very unhelpful she look at me as if she did not want to deal with me I asked her if they had medium-sized rucksack backpacks instead of looking for them herself she said whatever's posted there is there clearly not helpful I honestly like the fact that they had military surplus items but upon asking about a three leaf sleeping bag -30 or 50 below I came across the sleeping bag that was missing an outer layer the one that keeps the water off you in the sleeping bag the outer layer was missing there trying to sell half of a sleeping bag at double the cost of would have a cost for the full sleeping bag on eBay yeah I look crazy orange beard shaved head but I am no thief get cameras stop following people around the store making them feel...
