Big Apple Bagels — Restaurant in Hales Corners

I was so disappointed with my breakfast this morning - I should have known it was not going to be that great when I saw my to go coffee cup being taken out of the microwave.

I ordered the Breakfast BLT to go and a Caffe Carmella latte, the total was around $9 (which was fine.) However, I was in the car halfway to work when I finally opened my breakfast sandwich to see that it was only a bagel with about a pound of cream cheese - I was so disappointed! I called the store to let them know what happened and said that I was unable to turn around and all the clerk said was, "Well I am sorry about that."

Due to watching my coffee cup being removed from the microwave I was skeptical to try the latte and waited till I was already at work. Is tasted like lukewarm milk with a shot of caramel...and was all dumped down the drain.

So disappointed with my experience and I will not...

I absolutely LOVE Big Apple Bagels in Grafton...but this one is a disgrace to the franchise. The bagel size is significantly smaller than the ones in Grafton...the cream cheese is not as creamy as Grafton...the selection of bagels is pathetic...at 10am a bunch of bagels were out and the staff said they will only make more for a big order...it was 10 in the morning...lots more business time left...Grafton is always plentiful. At Grafton there are at lease 5 coffee selections...here there is only 3 one being decaf. There were no patrons in the place where at Grafton there are always patrons which shows that they do good business. And to top it off...I spend way less money at Grafton and get more food than here. I am so disappointed...any good bagel suggestions in the milwaukee area I will take because I will never go back to this Big...

I’ve been here a few times now and I love going here. Their bagels are delicious and fluffy, just the right consistency. The coffee is decent as well, for a small chain - I don’t expect it to be premium roast like some of the reviews here, but it’s good regardless. I’m not sure how no one has mentioned this but there’s always so much cream cheese! Not that it’s necessarily a bad thing but I always end up throwing out like half the cream cheese because there’s usually more cream cheese than bagel. The reason I give 4 stars here is that the service is usually pretty unpersonable and awkward. The high school staff never seem to actually know what they’re doing and the older staff are usually pretty quiet and non-interactive. Other than that, I do recommend Big Apple Bagels.
