Phở Ever Hales Corners — Restaurant in Hales Corners

Usually get the Pho Ever Special for pho. It's pretty much Pho Dac Biet (it's kind of a little bit of everything kind of bowl). The price of the regular and large bowls are a bit more pricier than Pho Viet if I'd have to compare. But this is closests to my house, can't complain. The pho isn't AMAZING but it's okay.

Banh Mi sandwiches are the best here however! I've tried 2 different kinds and love em.

Even though the food is good, service is lacking. Not sure if it's cause I'm Asian or something else.. I'm only saying this because my first ever experience here there were 4 tables here and the server was so friendly with them. But when she came to me she was not friendly and never smiled. Been here 3 times now and never really gotten a proper welcome into the restaurant. It's also really hard to get these people to interact with you, unless you're not Asian... Yes they do check in on you to make sure the food is good. But the walk in experience could use some improvement. I've read similar reviews for this restaurant and they are not wrong.

Anyway, I come here for the food and it's okay. Just a shame that service isn't as good to compare. Most of the stars given are because of the pho...

My family decided to try something new. So my Dad, 2 sisters and daughter decided on Pho Ever. Sister made a reservation in the event my son, nephew and my kids' significant others were able to make it. So anyway the 5 of us were present. Our orders were taken in a timely fashion and waters never ran dry. Dad and I got our food first followed by something none of us ordered. My 3 sisters are vegan and ordered something tofu and a plate of chicken came out. The young girl who brought the food apologized and asked what they ordered. Few minutes later the 3 vegans had their dinner. When we were full but had plenty of food sitting we awkwardly sat. Dad got up to pay the bill and came back saying something about the person wasn't authorized to give change, weird but okay. Someone came a few minutes later with the change but still no offer for boxes. So my sister hunted down the girl with the best English, she was amazing packaging it all up for us. I would say those who said the staff wasn't friendly...

Pho and egg rolls are phenomimal. However, there are a laundry list of things that lack with this restaurant.

1. They never serve plates with appetizers. Additionally, everytime I have dined in.. I receive my apps at the same time as my pho.. which defeats the purpose of enjoying an appitizer before my meal.

2. At times the tables can be greasy and dirty and when asked if it can be cleaned.. I’ve received rude smirks and a sense of feeling like I’m asking for too much.

3. Forever having to ask the server for more water, as water is not ever really topped off during dining.

4. The Vietnamese gentlemen that always wears the banana is beyond RUDE and not friendly what so ever. Seems like he hates his job and doesn’t bother to do his job. (Never asks how food is, never asks if you need anything, you have to flag him down just for the check, doesn’t pre bus dishes off the table, etc)

Overall .. I keep coming because the food is good but everything else is awful and makes the experience suck at...
