Cole Theater. The way theaters used to be. Updated sound system and seating and cool, cool, vintage blue star dust 1960's paneling in the bathroom - original I think but remarkably clean as a whistle. Fantastic admission and concession prices. I'd love for them to have a Sunday matinee at 2 or 3 p.m. but the owner has reported it's been tried and there just hasn't been the attendance. This should definitely be a destination location. Los Cabos down the road stays open till 10:00 so you can grab a bite to eat after the show or if you travel to/through Schulenburg first, you can stop at the Oakridge Smokehouse which has a great buffet. $15.00 weeknights & $17.00 weekends. I went to this theater as a child for the first time and saw Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Loved how old and classic the theater felt, from back in the days when going to see a movie was a major event for families. Now... I feel like I'm walking back into the 1990's, and going to see the original Jurassic Park for the first time. Everything was just covered and colored in red. The movie itself was projected well, the audio was spot on. But yhe outside facade is the only thing left showing what a history this theater has had.

The people are great and the prices are reasonable. But the heartache and lost potential for this theater will keep me away. This could have been someplace special. Somewhere I could have taken my kids and show them what a true "Movie Theater" is. But not now.

Cozy, family friendly hometown movie theater. Great sound system, fresh popcorn and hot dogs. We like the chili cheese dogs and notchos. Great prices on tickets and food and first run feature films.
