I will not be returning to this Target and possibly not to any Target in general. I came in to buy another set of storage bins like the one's I had previously purchased. I was browsing the store looking at different items when I noticed a gentleman behind me. I thought maybe he was interested in the personal fans that I was considering so I settled on one and moved along. I went next to the toy department to get a birthday gift for nephew. While looking at the selection I noticed the same gentleman walk by and immediately thought that's odd. They had several items I was interested on clearance and I took one to a scanner to verify the price and at an aisle across from the one I had been on I saw the gentleman in question for a third time. The humourous thing is that a fellow employee exposed him by talking to him in a casual way about some item he was carrying. So my suspicion were confirmed that I was being followed by a member of Targets loss prevention team. As a former police academy binstructor and private security officer I decided to test his skill. I led him on a game of "cat and mouse" from department to department circling just to verify that I was being followed. After finding his skills to be amateur at best I decided to end the test by letting him pass by aisle I was on and fell in behind him and started following him. He picked up his pace moving through the aisle at random obviously not shopping until he came upon a group of customers and decided to "hide" amongst them. I then decided to let him off the hook and went in search of the storage bins I had originally came in to purchase. I found them and to my delight they were on clearance. I made my way to the registers without further incident except that the storage bins rang up to be at the normal price. I decided that it wasn't worth the $2 difference to get a manager as I had already been in the store much longer than I had intended. I guess the moral of this story is be careful of profiling customers as it was obvious to me that this gentleman had done. Because I had on a black t shirt, black shorts, black cap, and black tennis shoes he had decided that I was obviously a bad guy since bad guys dress in black, right? If that kind of thinking goes into loss prevention training the team will be useless. The whole time he was following me real shoplifters could steal with impunity as I had the front line defense...
Read moreProbably 2 or 3 months ago the manager here, Robin, blonde who walks with a limp, was extremely rude while I was coming back into the store to see if I had left my wallet there. I’m not sure if it’s my tattoos or what, but she was extremely rude and nasty. I didn’t say anything about it and left.
A few weeks after this I’m in the store again, I am walking out to put my groceries in my car and there is a lady hanging out of passenger side of her vehicle with her vehicle door resting on the rear view of my driver side door. As I walk up to tell her to get her door off of mine, the same rude manager, Robin, turns to me and is clearly angry that I would ask her to move her door off of mine. I get into my car and start to pull off when I look to my left and she’s at the trunk of her car flipping me off. She was in civilian clothes so I’d assume she was off the clock. I called and complained about this. The manager who took my complaint was very nice.
I haven’t seen her in the store since and figured she was let go for flipping off a customer. I am in there several times a week and spend way too much money here to be treated that way. Today I came in and Robin was by the self checkout register that I was using. She stood directly beside me and scowled at me the entire time. Very blatantly. Even my girlfriend was uncomfortable. I unfortunately kept my mouth shut. But as I turned around walking out of the store Robin was standing with the asset protection employee pointing at me. In hindsight I wish I had turned around to ask her what the hell her problem is but I did not.
I’ve seen this woman be rude to people ever since I’ve lived close enough to shop here. She always has a nasty trash attitude. But flipping people off and keeping your job in customer service is laughable. I’m going to do my very best to try and get you in trouble, Robin. You should not be in customer service. You have an awful face...
Read moreWe came in to your store specifically to buy a Swiffer Sweeper Vac due to the fact I had a manufacturer's coupon from Swiffer since mine had malfunctioned. The coupon had been mailed directly to me from Swiffer via the United States Postal Service. The store did not have one on the floor, although the Target app showed several were actually in stock. We finally found a young lady associate named Ashley to help us. After about 30 minutes, she finally located one in the back. Upon entering the check out lines, we noticed that only the self check out lanes were open. We waited in line for self check out and rang up our items. Upon trying to scan the coupon for the free vacuum, we came to find out that the coupon would not scan. We waited several minutes for an associate to help us. He said he could not authorize the coupon and called a manager over. She would not honor it either and stated that it had to have a gold star on the coupon. She then proceeded to call over another manager by the name of Curtis who would not accept the coupon either. I called Swiffer after I left Target and they stated they do not put gold stickers on their coupons and that they have had a multitude of feedback from consumers who have had issues using their coupons on products at Target. We immediately went to a local Walmart store and used the coupon/certificate with no problems. I have contacted Target 3 times regarding the issue. The first two times, the call was "dropped" after I was put on hold to investigate the issue further. The first associate was named Chris (female) and the second was named Emily. The third and final time I spoke to a manager named Christine, who promised she would get back to me, as of today I have not received...
