Habaneros II Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Knoxville

Never, have I feel so disrespected at a restaurant anywhere!! We had our two lb toy poodle with us so we requested patio seating. We were told they don't allow animals. For outdoor seating....REALLY???Never experienced that at any other restaurant. Said we could hold him in our lap, which we did. Server was extremely rude. We waited more than 30 minutes for our food to be served. Chips were burned and stale. Cheese on tacos was cold and not melted. My sister's shorts were caught in the mesh chair. We asked the server for scissors and he acted like he didn't understand (the same waiter who took our order, served us, and scolded us about the dog). When he understood what we were asking for, he said they had no scissors anywhere in the entire restaurant. She had to rip her shorts lose. An accident yes, but an apology seems appropriate at the very least. Needless to say, we will...

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Knoxville! The chips seemed a little thicker and easier to dip, the salsa was amazing- not too thick, not too thin, and the queso dip was very good, not too spicy. I had the enchiladas supremas which automatically comes with rice and beans. The sides are usually extra but here it's included in the plate. The kid's meal was a cheese quesadilla with rice and a kids drink which is around $5 with very generous portions. Excellent service. Opens at 11am, great place to grab a quick bite, get an order to go, or just casual dining. Bathrooms are cleaner than most Mexican restaurants and there's plenty of decor with lights,TVs, etc. Easy parking, easy to get back on the interstate after dropping in. I am very happy to have discovered Habaneros ll Mexican Restaurant. I have visited the other Habeneros in Norris (North Knoxville), both restaurants in this mini chain are very good but I like this one better so far.

I had a very good light meal (a delicious Carne Asada Taco) and one of their Margaritas which was one of the best Margaritas ever.

Kudos to Jose (manager) whoo was very willing to talk, I enjoyed meeting him). Also, my server was Shelly at the bar where I was sitting). The staff were very friendly and added to my enjoying this experience; I now highly recommend Habeneros ll as one of my favorite restaurants for 2022 (really more than that as they are really above their competition).

You will enjoy this one. Great place for family, friends and business outings.
