Caitlin is such a sweet and kind person! She is so knowledge about wedding dresses! She knew exactly the vibe I was going for! She literally made looking for a dress so fun and special for me and my friends and mom that I brought with me! I booked a fully bridal appointment and had champagne and crumb cake from a local bakery ready for us as we arrived. She had all the dresses on display that were in my size and the style I was going for. She asked questions about you and your fiancé in a way where you know she cares learning about your story, not just trying to fill the time and the silence. Her shop is decorated so cute and trendy. I literally couldn’t say one bad thing about my appointment. I found the dress and my dreams and couldn’t be happier that I was able to buy it from Caitlin! If you’re looking for a great deal on a dress but still want the expensive bridal shop experience you need to go here! But honestly even if saving money isn’t at the top of your list I still think you need to check this place out! I ended up getting a dress that another bride bought and ended up not wearing and never even altered it. Still had the original tags on it, and I got it for over 50% off. Caitlin helped me find my dream dress in my budget and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect appointment 🤍

I had THE BEST experience dress shopping here. This little boutique is so cute and vibey. The owner, Caitlin, was so friendly and easy to communicate with. Their selection was incredible. The dresses in my (pretty low) budget were actually some of the most beautiful and unique on all the racks. They had all the dresses within my size and budget on one rack and then a vast selection of more dresses in my size which varied in prices above my budget on other racks. My stylist Sarah O. was so patient with me and she gave me some really valuable insight about different factors to consider when narrowing down my choices. In all my excitement I never would have considered that the alterations on one dress might be significantly more expensive than on another dress. She never made me feel pressured to buy anything or go above my budget. She listened to my likes and dislikes and helped me find dresses ghat combined all my favorite attributes. When my appointment was winding down to the last 5 minutes and I was torn between two dresses she made sure I got to try them both on again. I’m so grateful that even though I went beyond the time I was allotted she made sure I got to see myself in ”The One” before I bought it. The dress was actually never even worn before! I had tormented myself for months looking for just the right gown for my wedding. Everywhere I looked, all I saw were trendy pieces that didn't feel timeless, or dresses I had seen a hundred times before. Nothing felt quite like me. Not to mention the prices - wedding inflation after Covid is enough to make anyone sick! But at Hand-Me-Gowns I found the perfect dress - but I should really say that the stylist pulled the perfect dress for me.

Hand Me Gowns's thoughtful questionnaire, their stylists' skill, and their incredible backlog of vintage, high-quality, one-of-a-kind dresses made the experience so easy. I literally walked in, saw my gown hanging up, and said "I can't try this one on first because I think it's the one." The stylist gave us space to make thoughtful decisions, allowed me to try the gowns on as many times as I wanted (I was between two), and helped me visualize with accessories. They also directed us toward a local seamstress for minor alterations (hemming and bustle adjustment) who was fantastic and reasonably priced.

Not only was my experience wonderful, but I can go to sleep at night knowing that I didn't blow my budget on a dress I only wore once, and that a beautiful garment got a second life - and may even get a 3rd, as I'm preserving it.
