My sister came out for a visit this month. She wanted to spend some time with me for the day, so we checked out some cafés. The Funky Cow caught our eye and had a menu that really intrigued our tastebuds. All their sandwiches are made with waffles! Neither one of us are big lunch eaters, so we decided to split a sandwich. We ordered the “Funkin’ Chicken” - Grilled Chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, bacon, cheddar cheese, sriracha sauce and a side of homemade spicy slaw (their secret recipe - which is AMAZING!). Again, the bread was a waffle. It was so light and so perfect with the layers of flavors it encapsulated. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Service was incredibly friendly and attentive. They brought out our sandwiches and had cut them in half serving them in individual baskets as if we ordered two separate sandwiches. That kind of attention to detail did not go unnoticed by either of us. And I believe it was the owner that came out and checked on us before we left. The atmosphere is fun! Perfect for a place to bring the kids, but not too young for adults to enjoy as well. A good portion of the wall is a chalkboard. Little tins filled with chalk seem to invite anyone to write a message on the wall. I hope so because we did! This was truly a unique café experience. I encourage you to try if you are in the Hammonton area. I will be going back soon and often. Anyone want to shop for homes in Hammonton? Let’s stop by the Funky Cow while we are there. #trustkj

In a small town near your typical lunch spots and pizzerias, Funky Cow Cafe can be found at the corner on a busy street across from a Wells Fargo. You will find outside are two unique cows and a few tables for outdoor seating. You walk in and to the left, I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful waitress at the counter. She explained the menu and process very well and was easy to understand. The thought of light airy waffle sandwiches makes my mouth water. Funky Chicken Sandwich was even more enjoyable than I could've imagined. I was expecting fluffy waffles but their waffles were thin and crispy. This provided an excellent texture and crunch that contrasted the chicken sandwich perfectly. The sriacha sauce was light, heat was just right, and packed with flavor. I would've tried their ice creams if I hadn't been so full. If you're looking for a fun and novel restaurant in the area that's doing something different and serving amazing food, you've got to try this place. I will be back for food and ice cream next time.

I want to say this place is amazing, for starters the customer service was by far the best I've ever had. They politely ask your experience with the restaurant and follow up with their current specials along with recommendations which is always best especially when eating at a restaurant for the first time. The next thing is the owner, I've never been treated so well as a customer at any restaurant, he gets into details for any of the choices you may be interested and spices your choice up for an amazing taste. The best part is that the owner is very welcoming and even sits with you to converse which I found very interesting and welcomed. For me this is great because for someone who's moved into town this place is definitely somewhere I can see myself going multiple times. BTW if a comment like the one that says the customer service is rude with no example, then maybe that Google user is a rude person and was treated accordingly. In conclusion, great food and great customer service.

We came down to hammonton to visit family and wanted to explore a food option that wasn't your everyday lunch bistro.

The funky cow can best be described as a cool whimsical place with totally unique and off the wall food options! This place is no longer just an old ice cream store, it's much better!

Cynthia was at the counter, and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable while waiting for a seat when the place was packed, by bringing a table in from outside in the rain and wind.

She was super personable and friendly. While chatting us up she informed us of the patents the owner holds for their amazing waffle sandwiches(which are more like a crispy thin wrap in a waffle shape vs a normal waffle)

Their Mac&Cheese is awesome! They use cavatappi noodles, (which is not something I see everyday) and the cheese sauce is delectable! The combo of the perfectly cooked cavattapi noodles and consistency of the cheese sauce makes for a Mac and cheese that is smothered in cheese inside and out!

They offer all kinds of perfectly cooked BBQ meats on waffles with bacon and other delicious treats! They also offer something called the trash bowl which I will be sure to...
