Rent-A-Center — Local services in Harlingen

Well my day started off pretty good when I got a letter in the mail stating I had a credit I f $735 and a couple of cents. Thinking to myself I had just remembered that the new Manager had told me that I had a credit amount of the $735. Due to my account with my previous account they didn't want me to leave.He told me that with the amount I have I could get any item NEW OR USED and my credit would be used for it (The whole amount). I decided to use It on a new Samsung 4k 40in Smart TV for it, but when trying to get it the employee said he couldn't use my credit amount because it was new I told him that his Boss was going to approve it cause that's what he said to me. He told me he couldn't because the item was to new and he had talk with him to approve it. I told him let me talk to your manager so we could agree on the new agreement, he told me no that I he can only approve roughly $200 for the tv. I told him no that's ridiculous i have $735 of credit let me use it. In time going back and forth I wasn't pleased or happy at the fact that when on paper and your words please stay by them cause now you lost a good customer. I highly not recommending anyone to do business with this store....

Well.... I called to check the availability of a couple of bed sets for my kids, was transferred to the sales manager, and spoke to her and told her what I needed. She told me she was with a customer, and she said she'd call me back. I said ok. I understood what she said, due to me being in sales before. I waited all day and nothing. I called back the next day and still nothing. So guess what??? I called a "competitor" and ended up getting what I needed and also ended up purchasing a living room set and dining set from this Aaron's since your sales manager couldn't fullfil my needs and didn't care about me. . This was my 1st time contacting rent a center and will never contact rent a center again! I was always weary about doing business with a leasing place but this explains why. I used to love this rentacenter. I bought like 7 items here throughout the years. I bought a washer, a dryer, several tvs, couches, a computer and even a phone. This last month I completed a contract for a TV, and I was pre-approved for like 3800 in credit and wanted an iPhone. I was approved, but the store manager Mike said I wasn't approved. I had it on my app that I was approved but he said no not for the phone. The sales guy said he had to do what Mike told him to do. I went the same day to another rentacenter and got the phone. They said I was pre-approvedon the website and my history popped up and I was treated very well. I'm sorry to say that Mike was a terrible manager for losing a loyal customer.
