Recommend you check their Amazon seller profile. (of course they posted a response which is a lie, intended to cover their tracks regarding how they run their business). I would call them pathetic, but thats an insult to pathetic companies everywhere. 13% of their seller feedbacks in the last 12 months are a 1. Seven percent are a 2. That means that 20% of their customers find their service below average. Check out what buyers have to say, and remember buyer feedback to a seller cant be changed once left so when Exway Electric leaves a response with false information you as the buyer cannot respond to it. Thats what happened in my case. They blatantly lied. In my case I filed a complaint through Amazon's Fraud Department and sent a letter to the Michigan Better Business Bureau. Why? here's why. I ordered 2 Sylvania light bulbs from Amazon prime. The seller was the Sylvania Store. Amazon forwards the order to Exway Electric for fulfillment. Amazon handles the charge and any refund. Exway Electric, sent me two SATCO brand bulbs, when I ordered Sylvania. I paid Amazon for Sylvania. In the package they include a buck slip saying that if the item is back-ordered they send a substitute. So they make the decision as to what you get. They don't contact you because you bought it from the Sylvania Store via Prime. You didn't buy it from them technically. So they decide what to send you at their discretion. Really? This is bait and switch. You buy one brand and they substitute another. Then one of two things happens, 1) you complain, and they blame it on a shipping error, or other mistake, or 2) you keep the cheap bulbs because its a hassle to return and they pocket the price difference. Pretty clever. In my case I wrote a candid review and they responded and claimed that they 1) credited my account. That's an obvious lie because Amazon credits my account, 2) that they sent me an email saying it was backordered and they were sending a substitute. Of course they didn't but they lied and said they did. I would love to see them provide a copy of that email lol, 3) they claimed to send me a free bulb. Of course they didn't but it sounds good doesn't it?. Their response in every case is to claim an honest mistake or try and frame the buyer as a dishonest opportunist. Why do this when you could just send the requested merchandise? Are skimming a few cents difference between name and off-brand that important? Why the need to be dishonest? The business is 63 years old and I would bet there are some new folks running the show. Like I said, see how they run their shop by checking Amazon. Do it soon before they are removed from the Amazon platform. But your best bet is to just stay away from this place and take your...
Read moreI’ve gone to Exway once before and my experience was pleasant. This time my husband I walked in on a Saturday around 2:00pm. There was lady sitting at the desk to the right. She says nothing. We proceed to the left looking for wall plates and the employees on that side said nothing. As we continued to look around the lady at the desk made eye contact with us a few times but never said a word. No one ever said at least hello. No one asked if we needed assistance. So we eventually just left out quietly. Will I be back? No. Will I recommend Exway? No. This is just my experience. My husband said maybe the lady was having a bad day. I said nope, she simply didn’t want to...
Read moreI went to 2 different stores to find a candelabra type light that I needed. After coming up empty, I went to Amazon and tried to search there. I was pleased to see it was online, but that turned to pure delight when I discovered this store was local! I searched Google to find this location and spoke to a wonderful woman named Lisa. I asked her if this bulb was in stock and she quickly checked to ensure I didn't make a trip for nothing. After confirming the details I placed an order and this lady was sooooo calm and helpful. I arrived before closing and received everything I needed.
The only thing I regret is that I didn't make it in earlier... their split...
