I enjoy this place enough to grab breakfast here before the 8AM rush most weekends; the food is well cooked and the menu options are plentiful. I am an easy customer, I don't heavily customize my orders or require a lot of attention from the staff. However this past weekend, the service experience was horrendous. After being seated I had a 10min wait before a server approached (after listening to two of them bicker with the hostess over who would get our table). We were seated right next to the coffee station, so there were plenty of opportunities to simply ask if we needed anything / how is everything, etc. However not once did she bother to look at us. She took our orders, she dropped off the food, we had to get up and grab our own ketchup, we had to acquire our own takeout boxes & then we had to hunt her down to get the bill. During which, I had begun to politely explain how we were a little disappointed with the service, but before I could really say anything she cut me off with a "K." and walked away. My dining companion also made an attempt to start a dialogue about the service when she brought back my card and she again responded in a rude and unpleasant manner. I was shocked, she could have easily made an attempt to salvage the experience by explaining that perhaps they were understaffed or that she had been a little absent-minded so early in the morning, which is what I expect from a well-trained server. I politely express my feelings and they reassure me it was a one-time mistake and I feel better about leaving a generous tip. Instead SUSAN's sordid performance made us feel like we weren't worth decent service, honestly this was probably the worst dine-in experience I've had in years. I'll be back because I love the food, its close to home, & I haven't had any of the other servers portray such unprofessional and nasty behavior. I did express my disdain to a manager who offered a financial compensation by reducing my bill however he must have forgot to do so. Regardless its not about the money, its about the dining experience; what could have been a good one, all things considered, was ruined by the poor attitude...
Read moreI knew this was going to be a great dining experience from the moment I entered the restaurant. A friendly hostess greeted me with a big, beautiful, welcoming smile. Happy employees are what turn a good dining experience into a great one.
I was given a table as soon as I arrived and given a nice cup of cold water. I went over the menu, and my waiter was right there, ready to take my order.
Let me tell you the breakfast I had was superb. The bacon was cooked perfectly with the right amount of crisp to non crisp meat. A nice smokey flavorful thick bacon. My eggs were scrambled with cheddar cheese and fluffy. The pancakes were a perfect compliment to the slightly salty and savory bacon. This delivered my pancakes with warm syrup, and that was a delightful meal enhancement. I don't like hot pancakes with cold syrup. It's like The Original House of Pancakes read my mind as I walk through the door. I just took my time savoring the complimentary combinations of sweet and savory mixtures. I will definitely be visiting again...
Read moreI know with everyone being short staff its very hard at all places of businesses but I see a continuous problem where they are hiring people but not training them then throw them to the public which is not fair the the customer nor the staff. My waitresses was terrible she took my order that is fine but then I waited almost 45 mins for my food while I was waiting I see people coming placing their order then getting their food that was strike 1. Then I notice my waitress was disappearing or jus standing in one spot she never refilled my water or asked if i want, my food finally came and it was hard smh I was over this place so I go to cash out and why my waitress didnt know how to use the cash register so she playing with my debit card in the register, so I notice all the staff that was walking stop trying to help her but couldn't figure out what she did so I was very PO this is the worst my services ever been n I totally understand of the short staff everywhere but you can definitely see they are not training...
