Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania — Local services in Harrison Township

Update 8-9-24: Prices have increased. Everything is still pretty nice and well organized, and the staff is nice, but pricing is WAY off on specific items. Do NOT buy the cricut vinyl for sale for $3.29. There are tons of them, and they are sold at Dollar Tree even now. Anything marked as being produced by Greenbrier is something sold by Dollar Tree, so shop wisely. Some small decorative signs were also Dollar Tree items being sold for 4.99. I really gotta say that I find the Goodwill in Cheswick to be less expensive in almost every area of the store.

Review update: Still very good. I've raised my rating because the rate at which new stock is set out, lately, is better than I've ever seen at any other Goodwill store. I rarely see the same things two visits in a row. The employees really seem to be working hard, and the end cap displays they make always look cute.

Update: Visited on 9/20/22. Shelves and clothing racks are half empty. When all the other GW's in the area are stuffed with goods, this store has virtually nothing? ANYONE KNOW IF THEY ARE CLOSING THIS STORE?

It's really disappointing when staff puts out severely damaged and stained clothing and then has the nerve to ask you for $5+ for the item!

This GW seems to 'special price' anything and everything that has the original tags on it. $2.99 tag at the WalMart? GW charges $$7.99 - ridiculous!!

Also? Putting empty glass pasta sauce containers on the shelf?! What the actual....

This location seems to be saturated with Walmart, Target, and cheap Amazon brands. Houseware area is small compared to other GW's in the area. Donation drive-thru never...

This is the ONLY goodwill I know of THATS NEVER excepting donations. Today I drive the 10 miles with dressers chairs and much more only to discover they are not “ excepting dontation at this time”. Last year it happened and I thought it was due to covid. One time they told me they were excepting donations, then they told me they would take “ the nicer furniture off my truck”. Another time they told me they would take clothes but not furniture Due to covid??? Which makes zero sense. I will NEVER SHOP AT NOR DONATE TO THIS...
