Jefferson Street Pub (JSP) — Restaurant in Harrison Township

I went here a couple of time before the "new management"arrived and came back. I don't think I will be back.

-Service was ok. Waitress was attentive but more concerned with the regulars

Food/Drink-It bar food. Pricey in my opinion but per the other reviews the owner talking about cost I somewhat understand. This visit I ordered a burger with onions rings. The small paper plate was a mess to deal with(another cost saving method per the owner in a review) Burger was just average and the 5 yes 5 onions I got were ok too. My friends got burgers and fries and seemed to have a larger portion of fries. Yes onions rings are big and pricey but getting 5 is bad. Plastic ware too. We had pop-flat and syrupy due to no CO2. We were given can pop when told the server about it -thats a plus on service. The owner seems big on telling you its a cost saving move for better quality food etc. If your bar washes the glasses then I think it can afford to wash actual plates and silverware. Hire a part time dishwasher/bus boy to come in later that day to do the dishes etc.

Atmosphere- as we were standing outside by our cars across the street getting ready to leave, Nathan a patron there approached us with a drink in hand started to talk to us about coming back in for "fun". Our server had to come out and tell hm from the patio to come back inside because he couldn't be outside with his drink. (we did not know this guy but he must be a regular as he said he came here all the time and the server knew his name). I have a problem here 1)if Nathan was drunk why was he allowed to be served more. 2)I hope that the bar did cut him off after we left and he got home safely 3) Was he drunk or under the influence of something else and what "fun" was he talking about. I had issues afterwards with this bar and their food before and stayed...

The food is always great, and the drinks are cheap and tasty, but the service I received on my last visit was probably some of the worst service I've ever received, at any restaurant, ever. Most of the staff was too busy in conversations to be time efficient, and smoke flares wouldn't have tipped off the waitresss that I was trying to flag her down. She made eye contact for a solid minute, and saw me trying to signal her, as it had been over 20 minutes since I had been due for a refill, to no prevail. I was really disappointed. It was not busy. There was maybe two small parties at tables, and three people at the bar. A single piece of a carryout was brought out thirty minutes before any other carryouts, including a portion of the same order on the same tab, and the lettuce was soggy. I have been coming here on and off for upwards of ten years for good food and I was appalled by this experience. I would've stayed longer, and spent more (as I typically do) if it hadn't been mission impossible to get a single moment of attention from the waitress. I understand this place is under new-ish ownership, and I think they're making lovely changes and running the place great for the most part. I will give another try, against my better judgement, another night, in case this was a weird, never seen before fluke. I just recommend keeping an eye out that your newer staff is trained properly and attentive, especially when it's not busy to keep your spot as the lovely, HTP staple I...

Beware of Jefferson street pub. They have a drink menu for Patty's day weekend . Once music starts playing they start upcharging drinks with NO POSTED NOTICE of up charge. Shady way of making money. Got my bill last night to find my drinks different priced. Asked about them to be told "once karaoke starts they charge more" said they should put that somewhere on paper and she said I know...like wow.... needless to say our party of 12 got up and left. Disappointed with them. Won't be going back. Got a plate of nachos which I could barely eat because how high the nachos were stacked with barely any toppings. Mediocre food. Service was pretty slow and they were not that busy. Been to far busier places with faster service. We had a table reserved and they stuck us next to the speaker ( we could barely chat for our birthday party)...Dark and unwelcoming environment. Karoke host was not the best. First and last...
