While I was waiting in my car in the parking lot to meet my (future) sister-in-law to glance at wedding dresses, Shelly (the owner) came to my car, introduces herself and informed me that they are by appointment only and the appointment costs $40. Which was no biggie, completely understand that! Since the bride had no idea what style, color, or material she was wanting, I asked Shelly if we could come inside and and just look at the dresses, not try anything on but glance at some on the mannequins etc. Just to give the bride an idea of what is available. Shelly, then, pursed her lips and looked me up & down in what I can only describe as a Karen sort-of way and said "That's fine, you can just look at them, but my prices do start at $400 and go all the way up to the $800 range." In that moment I knew I would never do business here again. I bought my wedding dress and several of the bridal party's attire here when I got married and have been back several times over the years for proms, and homecomings, because I am all about supporting local but the demeaning and judgemental attitude that I got from Shelly yesterday was absolutely inexcusable. Weddings are expensive, that's a given. This isn't a scene in "Pretty Woman". To demean a customer the way Shelly did, to judge someone's wallet by a 10 second conversation is just absurd. She lost our business before I was even able to get out of my vehicle. We ended up going to store in Branson with extremely kind and helpful staff and purchased the absolute perfect dress for the ceremony (for just over $2,000) PLUS bridal party attire. Moral of the story here is.. You can't put a price tag on memories, and the way you treat your patrons is what makes or breaks a business. Being the owner, Shelly should be able to...
Read moreI paid for my wedding dress in January. I was told that their seamstress could dye my dress no problem. Had not heard anything by March. I called and texted their seamstress and she had not even started on my dress. I was told it would have to wait till prom and Debs were over because those girls needed their dresses sooner... Still nothing by April. Saw first dye samples and the end of April. By may I had been pushed back again because of family issues. Finally in June I was told I would have it by the first week of June. Then I was told July 21st because she had to sell her house. Finally received my dress...well it's purple not black. Now I'm out $500 and have no dress. Because I won't wear a purple dress when my colors are burgundy blush and black. Thanks for wasting 6 months of my time...
Read moreI bought my wedding dress at Rebekah Lane in the summer of 2019. I used the seamstress that works for Rebekah Lane. I gave them my dress before spring break (mid March). They did not get it back to me until 10 days before my wedding (May 21st) (We also had to do about four dress fittings). When I got my dress back, it was not fitted properly. It was wrinkled, had ruffles that shouldnât have been there, and it looked awful on me. They also didnât have the suits in for our groom and groomsmen until 3 days before the wedding. One suit didnât fit because the worker didnât write the measurements down correctly. However, he didnât give us any refund for my dress or for the wrong sized suit. Service was slow, disappointing, and made the weeks before my wedding much more stressful than it...
