I’ve been coming to this shop since the day they opened, and it’s quickly become my favorite go-to for everything pet and aquarium related. Even though they’re still relatively new, they run the place like seasoned pros. The selection, service, and passion behind this locally-owned business are truly impressive.

They’ve got an awesome variety of animals—from snakes, scorpions, and other reptiles to a wide range of saltwater and freshwater fish. I’ve seen everything from unique corals and colorful saltwater species to hardy freshwater fish, shrimp, and crabs. The tanks are always clean, and the livestock looks healthy and well cared for every time I stop in.

What really stands out is how much gear and decor they carry. If you’re building out a terrarium or aquarium, they’ve got a huge selection of naturalistic hides, driftwood, rocks, plants, and themed accessories that help create stunning enclosures. Whether you’re into reptiles or aquatics—or both—you’ll find everything you need to set up a professional-looking habitat.

The staff is friendly, helpful, and clearly passionate about what they do. They’re great at answering questions and always take the time to help you make the best choices for your animals and setups.

I’ve never owned a reptile and I was blessed to be dad to an amazing Russian Tortoise. Skylar (apologies if misspelled) has been amazing through the journey. I also love that Skylar, if something is not readily available in recall, will immediately research all aspects of the inquiry to ensure correct information is given. There’s an amazing variety of supplies and you likely won’t want for much in regards to pet needs. I adore my healthy and extremely sociable tortoise (and for 40-60 years) because of this amazing experience, shared knowledge, extreme care of animals and guest as well as the utmost care. Skylar and Bob are committed to selling only the best fish, reptiles and amphibians. They source everything from captive breed only. Critters Cove is the only local pet store that has everything i need for my dart frogs. I spend alot of time there and the amount of stock that they go through should be a testament to Critter Cover wanting to provide what the big box pet stores can't. Both owners have spent many years in the pet trade and Skylars college degree reflects her commitment to providing only the best pets for sale.
