This place opens at 11 am. I got there at 12:20. I ordered habashi, my husband ordered sushi. My Hibachi set is $16. It comes with salad, clear soup (as shown in the picture).
I also ordered beef steak and fried rice. After almost half an hour, my husband finished his sushi. I finished my salad and soup but no chef came to cook. Until 2 teenagers came and sat next to me. And I waited for a while. The food still didn't come. It was a long wait. The waitress let me wait without any follow up until I got up and went to her to cancel the Hibachi because the wait was too long. She said I already had soup and salad and I have to pay. ((The Hibachi set is $16)) but she charged me *$4.9 for the salad + $3.9 * for the clear soup, totaling $8.8 not including Tax. when the full price of the set is only *$16. I still didn't get my fried rice and steak.
I'm willing to pay for the salad and soup but I just think it should be more reasonably priced. Because that's the price for the whole set meal##
but I think it's too expensive compared to the rest of the food I still didn't get. And this is taking advantage of customers, no apology. Waited for more than 30 minutes. I came almost 2 hours after the restaurant opened but nothing was ready. While I was paying. The male chef pushed a cart with ingredients past me. I saw that the cart had my food and the food of the teenager sitting next to me. What does that mean? I had to wait for my food for over 30 minutes and was unfairly charged. When I paid, I did not receive a receipt for the food. I was only told the amount by the waitress. And the customer who came after me for over half an hour received their food right after ordering. I also gave her a tip even though I was not impressed with the service here. This was my first time eating here and probably will be the last. I hope after reading these comments you improve your service because it was terrible.
1.) Charged me unfairly. Charged me around $10 but the whole set meal was only $16 and I still haven't received my fried rice + steak.
2.) No apology or explanation for waiting more than 30 minutes for my food.
3.) Not ready to receive customers. I came after the shop already opened but still have to wait for a very long time. Even serving water or anything else takes a very long time even though there is only my table in the whole shop.
4.) The waitresses were smiling but their service was bad and unprofessional, making many mistakes.
5.) I dare to complain frankly because I used to be a waitress before and I have a good background as a waitress, I have never provided such bad service to customers.
6.) I don't care how delicious your shop is or how much the food costs, but if your service is like this, I ask other people to consider it.
Ps. I went on...
Read moreMy fiance and I experience was horrible staying at the near by Massanutten resort we thought this might be a great valentines dinner idea it quickly turned into a valentine's day horror movie. The restaurants site said no reservations so we decided to get there at a early time. We arrived at 7 to find out the restaurant did have reservations and they were seating reservations in big parties we put our name on the list after being told the wait would be a hour to a hour 15 minutes. We left and came back after about 45mins I walked in to check in and was told it would be another 30 to 40mins and after watching for a few minutes the gentleman calling parties was skipping over names and calling who he remembered was right in front of him. After speaking with him we finally were seated at 9:15pm after being seated the waiter started taking orders and asked if we would like a sushi menu. I did request the sushi menu only for her to come back almost 15mins later to say the sushi bar was closed. The chef came to the table to tell us there were no more scallops in the restaurant and just about everyone at the table had to change their order. However the waiter didn't ask what we wanted to substitute because she wrote down the orders wrong. Then as the chef began cooking he let us know there was no more yum sauce. We ate which the food was not good. The waiter was quick to bring the bill which they still tried to upcharge us for the different choices we were forced to make due to no scallops. While waiting unprofessional the staff began to eat pizza at a near by table completely o er this restaurant and the service that came along with it. If we had to rate it on a thumbs up the two of us would give this place 4...
Read moreThis restaurant is run down and very dirty. When we were brought to our table I immediately noticed sauce had been spilled on my chair and not cleaned up. I change chairs with a vacant neighboring table and told the server. One of the other guests commented the his chair seat pad was cut and needed to be replaced. He also traded chairs. Then they brought the menu. Lighting in the restaurant was very dim and I had difficulty reading the menu. Then I realized the reason the lights were low was the table and hood were covered in grease. Additionally, the airconditioning was very poor and couldn't keep the restaurant cool. The menu said if we wanted Sushi or Sashimi to request a Sushi Menu. We requested a Sushi Menu and they brought us a menu with pictures and no prices. I then asked for prices and they brought us an ordering sheet. We ordered the Large Sushi and Large Sushimi platters to share along with our Teppanyaki. The Sushimi when it arrived was not very fresh and the cut strangely into triangles. I lived in Japan and this was really unacceptable. We also order Teppanyaki. My friend wanted the Salmon and Chicken combo, but they had no Salmon on a Saturday night. I ordered the Filet and Scallops. I was surprised that they served small bay scallops. I ordered my Filet medium rare and it was served overcooked with not even any pink meat. We survived and then got our bills. I was shocked at the 18% Service Charge and the 7% Harrisonburg Tax. Terrible experience and we...
