Stopped here for a quick bite on our trip to Blacksburg and the cashier was super sweet and helpful when taking our order. Unfortunately, we had to wait like 20+ mins for two deli sandwiches. The only reason we stopped here was because we figured it would be quick. But they had messed up our order and accidentally gave us the wrong sandwiches. One was completely wrong (a different sandwich altogether) and another one was missing Calabrian peppers we added on. She came and let us know that she may have given us the wrong sandwiches, although at that point we already started eating. She was willing to make us two new sandwiches, however I asked her to only remake the one that was completely wrong and bring us the missing Calabrian peppers separately for the other sandwich. She did bring a replacement sandwich right away. However, when asked about the peppers she mentioned that the staff are really upset at her and would not give her any peppers. Orders can be wrong at times and mistakes do happen. However, whoever is refusing to give her peppers in the back needs to be let go. You can’t punish your customers for a mistake that you guys made. We had to leave without the peppers despite paying for it. Totally not the cashiers fault though. Poor girl was crying and apologized a bunch. The sandwiches were good but this entire experience left a bad taste in my mouth (no...
Read moreI patronized the market only a few days after they opened. Nice market but have yet to sample much of their products. I also wondered why one has to purchase a minimum of 1/2 pound of cold cuts, seems odd. Experience may have improved this next comment. I had to purchase 1/2 pound of prosciutto, normally I would never buy that much. The person slicing the prosciutto did not know how to slice it. Luckily they showed me the first few slices and I had to tell them that prosciutto is sliced VERY thin almost like tissue paper. Also one end of the cut was all shredded, this is not how prosciutto is to be sliced and served. I hope by now they have improved their technique. I will be going back. As a native NYC boy I do miss Italian, German, and Jewish Deli's. This is nice addition to...
Read moreI ordered the “Date Night Charcuterie Board Box,” but it was really disappointing. First of all, it didn’t even come in a box — everything was just kind of thrown together. The portion was extremely small for the price, and half of the board was filled with grapes. There was only one type of cheese and no bread or crackers included at all, which made it feel incomplete. Definitely not what I expected for a date night...
