This small shop focuses mostly on Vietnamese shelf stable items. Contrary to a previous review, there is not a large variety of Chinese wares. I did find a few scattered Thai, Korean, and Chinese items but they were hard to spot. They took all major credit cards including AMEX. In the back of the store is a little kitchen area where you can order Banh Mi sandwiches and Pho soup (see photo of menu). The Banh Mi I ordered was cheap ($3.50) and medium to call sized. It was tasty and fresh but not one of the best I've had (could have used more meat filling). Don't be afraid to order spicy. Mine was pretty mild despite my assurance that spicy was okay. The only English I heard spoken was from the woman taking my order in the back. Everyone else including the cashier/checker spoke what I assume was Vietnamese and did not say a word to me except "Thank You." I took this as a good sign of authenticity. Go elsewhere for non-Vietnamese sauces and...
Read moreThis market is small but they pack a LOT of stuff within their four walls. Yes, it's technically a Vietnamese market but they carry all sorts of Asian products and their prices are reasonable. You can use a debit card with a $7 minimum purchase and a credit card with a $10 minimum purchase. Parking in front of the store on Park can be hit or miss, especially because it's such a busy street. Luckily, they have a parking lot in back that you can access from the east side of the building (to the left if you're facing the store). The little restaurant in the back of the store has delicious food: banh mi, pho, goi cuon, and other Viet foods. Definitely check this place out if you're...
Read moreLove it. I have been going since I was a kid. For me it's like walking back in time shopping with my mom's. I always immediately headed for the drinks and snacks at the front of the store. As an adult I now go back and shop on a regular for ingredients for my family. This lil mom and pop Asian market has a little bit of everything. It has been owned by the same family for ages. I always feel welcome when I open the doors and walk through. Many people don't know but there is plenty of parking in the back. With the mini restaurant inside you can come and order some food and eat in other take it to go. You...
