Isn't it interesting that all of the "5 star reviews" sound a bit similar. Two of them are well thought out as if written by the owner/manager. It wouldn't be so obvious, if only they hadn't copy/pasted the exact raving review/comment 2 times in a row under different names.... Even the non-identical comments appear to be written by someone who is Coincidentally "impressed" with very similar aspects of their visit... For example pie & drinks/coffee... Why don't business owners just make their fake posts it a bit more convincing?? Really I just wish that they could spend more effort encouraging real customers to rate them with honesty... This practice shows a lack of confidence in the quality of what they are offering.. The best businesses don't have to manufacture good reviews.
By the way I bought a suit for my mother's funeral about 3 years ago & yes, I do like it. However I did spend a lot of money & they were clearly trying to play on my vulnerable state. It was clear as day that they were using strong sales tactics on me. I understand because I was in sales myself at one point in time. So I just grinned/humored them because I wanted to move forward. I told them that I didn't have much money. Apparently they didn't hear me because the first one that they put on me was $3,000. They marked it for tailoring & refused to give me an idea of price before I went through the ordeal. "We will discuss that after".... So I continued because after all, I was there... We looked at different shirts & ties... I looked fantastic in the suit & was excited because they had it all marked up with white China Marker (or what ever they use) ... After I was made aware of the price ($3k), they acted a bit put off because they have to go wipe off the markings for the alterations. I was beside myself because I repeatedly asked what the price range was on it & voiced that I don't want them to waste time putting me in a suit that is out of my price range... I guess that they wanted a piece of the inheritance I didn't have...
Seeing these fake reviews made me rethink my decision to do business with them years ago. I thought of the experience, & where I was emotionally... I understand that everyone needs to make a dollar... But do it honestly... Don't manufacture your own reviews, & don't take advantage of people who are going through a difficult time. It's not worth it. You obviously know what people want, because you said it in the fake reviews you posted.... "honest advice" "respect"... I guarantee you that you will see better sales results if you just follow what you know is right rater than just post it in a review.. It's sooo obvious that it's fake.. Just take them down if you can & encourage customers to post reviews for...
Read moreIf you are in need of business professional attire... GO HERE!!! I wish I could give this store 1000 stars. I came in about 3 weeks ago with an absolute fashion emergency. I came across Morneault's Stackpole Moore Tyron and I truly believe it was a sign from the universe. I was met with a beyond accommodating, accepting, and encouraging staff. I had the honor of being assisted and styled by the owner Jody. She created the PERFECT outfit that not only fit my price range, but most importantly made me feel confident, beautiful, and ready to tackle the event I had to go to. It was all done in under 20 minutes, then I was out the door. The staff and shopping experience is the best I have ever had in my life, and I mean that. I am from NY but will without hesitation be making the trip there again for all my business attire needs. Go check it out ASAP whether you are in the...
Read moreFull disclosure: I am Ron and Jody Morneault's daughter. That said, I couldn't be more proud of my parents' hard work, perseverance, and talent for making people feel and look their best. They offer incomparable personal service and have maintained an unbroken chain of retail presence since I was 5 years old, originally with Tuesday's and now with Stackpole's, originally established in 1909. Their care and dedication is reflected in their window trimming, hosting artists and their artwork, social events, and continuing to bring the height of fashion to Trumbull and Pratt Streets in Hartford, Connecticut. I hope you treat yourself regularly to a visit to the store and a special item to make yourself feel as special as you are. All the very best to you and yours! -...
