Employees harass you the moment you step in the door. My first time in the store I just needed spare keys made. Before I even had my foot in the door I was asked if I needed help finding anything. I replied "no, I just need keys made." The employee pointed out where the "key center" was located, which I could clearly see and DID NOT NEED HELP FINDING IT. I took three steps into the store, three, and I was asked by someone in paint if "I needed any help finding anything. Again I explained that I just needed a key, and again I was shown were the "key center" was located IN THE CENTER OF THE STORE IN PLAIN SIGHT TEN FEET FROM WHERE I WAS STANDING. I approached the "key center" and an employee standing in front of the counter asked if I needed any help finding anything, I have been in the store less than thirty seconds and i have been asked this three times? I told this employee I needed keys made. He replied that he couldn't help me with that I would have to ask the woman standing behind the counter ONE FOOT AWAY FROM HIM. She said it would be a couple minutes for the keys to be cut. During this time I took a look around the store, because it was just opened and I wanted to see what they had. during this time I had to explain over and over again that I was just looking and I was waiting on keys, I lost count but it was more than five times. The kicker is that the keys didn't even work. Every time I go into the store it is always the same. Every employee asking if I needed help, and I usually don't because if I need help I ASK FOR IT. I now wear sunglasses and ear buds with music playing to avoid this annoyance. It is unnecessary and boarder line harassment. I hate this store and if it wasn't across the street from my house I would never...
Read moreAce Hardware in Hastings, MN is so incredibly helpful! It's an official FedEx location, too. From the moment I pulled up in front of the store, this gentleman greeted me with a smile and a dolly, lifted everything from the back of my SUV onto the dolly and wheeled it into the store. I went to Ace Hardware to return some Chewy items, and I wasn't sure how to get my email Chewy FedEx Delivery Printouts printed for attaching to my items to send because my printer at home wasn't working. The store clerk took it from there. He had me send the Chewy FedEx email to their store email. He printed and attached them to my items to send. He even set up tracking for me so I could follow the delivery of my items right up to Chewy receiving everything. Everything was delivered to Chewy fast. I'm just so very impressed with the friendliness and service. I don't know any businesses who do any of this and do it all with a smile and kindness. This business place is wonderful. I have also purchased hardware here with the same helpful experience. I highly recommend Hastings, MN, Ace Hardware, for your FedEx and...
Read moreI was really impressed at how respectfully I was treated on two recent occasions by everyone on staff that I interacted with. I was greeted by a woman who used her walkie to get me immediate help in the department I needed and then given helpful and interested attention by an older gentleman and another man on some questions I had about wire sizes. It was nice to be taken seriously and not talked down to as you sometimes get being a woman in a hardware store. My questions were clearly important to them. I highly recommend this...
