Whenever I go to ff, which is rarely, I always buy their chocolate caramel clusters in addition to whatever else I buy, two weeks ago was no different. Stopped for specific shoes, that were purchased 6 months earlier, and to my disappointment, they no longer carry them. I decided to buy another shoe hoping for a quality sole with better ankle support, again, nope. The heel doesn't feel sturdy on my ankles. More expensive and less quality. Then, the caramel clusters, which are usually awesome, were not. Fake chocolate, peanuts and caramel not covered completely, they tasted stale and weird and were of poor quality. Again, the price was higher but the quality wasn't there. Maybe a fluke, I'll try back later. Not really expecting a change. Greed is killing your brand! Update 5/12/24: I posted my concern AFTER I called them and expressed my frustration but received no response. I received an email asking that I contact them regarding my post/review, not my call in complaint. I called and talked to a rep and all she did was take my contact info, no questions about the review, none. She forwarded to her mgr who forwarded to the candy supplier who contacted me and offered an apology and explained that their ingredients had not changed, but did offer to replace the product. I received a large bag of the item but I have not tried them yet. The main issue of the shoes was never addressed by anyone who participated in this product complaint. The shoes I did buy are...
Read moreIt's one of the smaller Fleet Farms, with decidedly less farming focus on it, which is strange given that it's located much closer to way more farms than some of their other stores are.
However the layout is a bit nicer, but feels a little cramped in some spaces. It's much brighter, and they have a helpful map to get you around, however the racetrack layout means you'll eventually find the right department even without that help.
There is no auto service center here either, but their selection of car accessories and parts is still the same.
Self-checkout is a welcome addition, as is a more modernized check out area. In either case, I've never had to wait long to check out, I usually spend more time making sure I got everything on my list than actually standing around.
Notable pluses against other locations: the shape of the gun counter makes the area feel more spacious, and there is a dedicated and easy to find cart corral in the farm department with flat beds.
This location also partners with local organizations for events. One I saw advertised was an adoption event with a local no-kill animal shelter, which is nice to see I like that some of the money I'm spending here is going to helping...
Read moreI’ve loved Fleet Farm since I was a kid. I vividly recall the excitement in my house each year when the Christmas season toy catalog arrived in the mail. A trip to Fleet Farm was a real treat, too, even if I didn’t get anything. Those stores carried the COOLEST stuff across the spectrum of my interests, like military surplus clothing and gear, fishing and hunting supplies, and LEGO and toys out the wazoo! 30-something years later, I still feel a tiny butterfly of excitement in my stomach every time I walk into a Fleet Farm. That’s nostalgia for ya’.
The Hastings store is quite new, very clean, and well staffed and run. I was pretty surprised by the massive selection of ammunition adorning their shelves, and they had a ton of reloading supplies in stock, as well. The prices appear better than certain massive outdoor retailers - which isn’t difficult to pull off - so I picked up a box of Hornady .45-70. Self-checkout was quick and painless, even with a cursory glance at my ID, and I can absolutely say I’ll be back sometime in the near future. This is a nice store, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend...
