I brought my PC in because it wouldn’t display anything after installing a new GPU. The guy got it booting again, which I appreciated, but then told me I needed to buy a new Windows 11 license for over $200, or else my system would crash or stop working properly. That pressure alone had me worried, especially since I wasn’t sure what was going on at the time.

Later that day, I went home, bought a legit key for $11, followed a simple YouTube video, and had everything — GPU, dual monitors, Windows 11, drivers, Valorant — working in less than 10 minutes. No crashing, no deep issue, no emergency — just a standard reinstall and some BIOS settings.

What bothers me is that it felt like I was being upsold not because the work was complex, but because I didn’t know better. I’m 18, not wealthy, and came in just needing a hand. Instead, I almost paid way more than necessary for something that turned out to be basic once I had the full picture.

I can see how this place has all 5-star reviews — probably from parents or casual users who just want their machines to work again. But if you’re someone who’s tight on money or willing to learn, you should definitely do a little research first. There’s nothing wrong with charging for your time, but turning a simple software step into a $200 upsell doesn’t sit right.

It was a pleasure working with Pri. I am a contractor and woke up one morning to turn on my computer and it was making an obnoxious beeping sound and wouldn't work. I called a few places and ultimately went with Pri because he was incredibly personable and was able to have me drop the laptop off that night to be looked at the next day. He was able to figure out what was wrong with my computer and ultimately it was dead, but he tried many different things and even reached out to Lenovo and his reps there to see if they were familiar with the problem. They had one final option to fix it and I have Pri the green light to try it and ultimately it didn't work, but that's okay. Pri was able to give me several recommendations on what computer to buy next based on my requirements. 10/10 would recommend Pri and his guys. Thank you Pre and TechFix!

I took my never cleaned in 4 years gaming PC to Pre and just based on that alone he thought my pc had overheated and said I may have to get a new one. Luckily this was not the case!

A power surge caused my PSU to burn out, which in turn killed 2 of my ram sticks, a fan and reduced the power in my remaining fans. It also took out my hard drive and BIOS, but Pre was able to recover both!

Pre fixed my PC with an upgraded PSU, reprogrammed the bios, recovered my hard drive which was initially thought to be dead, and got me a couple new fans for my PC.

On top of him repairing my PC, he also cleaned it out as much as he could since he had it for a few days, due to a shipping issue with UPS and recommended products to clean my pc for the future as well as a power surge protector recommendation.

If I, or anyone else in my household has problems with their PCs, I will definitely recommend them to...
