Extra Space Storage — Local services in Hatfield Borough

We had joined here when they were in different ownership. We loved the previous owner and they kept prices at a good rate for their customers. Pros: The units are nice size, clean no bugs really minus spiders every now and again. They are lit on the exterior units and interior ones have a light source. There’s good parking for going in and out. Cons: The cost was so much lower than this new company that bought it out. Now we are paying an additional $100 more for our unit!! Isn’t that just ridiculous? They continue to increase it too. I feel it’s a greedy company so check your options where to go. They just send you a bill and it goes hire every time we see one. There’s better options and we are looking elsewhere to find something less expensive. the door system still is hasn’t changed that you to have to retype your password instead of a button to exit. I miss people or companies not taking advantage of others. But this world is full of this type...

Stopped by on a Sunday. Met with Anthony. Though we did research online, Anthony, in a most professional and friendly manner, provided in-depth additional information. He happily took us to the unit we eventually rented, providing how-to tips on future savings and promotions. Anthony's assistance eased the burden of our sudden need for rented storage. Pros: Great customer service, extended hours, ease of use of facility, moving supplies available for purchase, carts on site for free use. Con or coincidence?......we noticed someone hanging near our unit entrance, making phone calls from their car the entire 45 minutes we were loading. Gave the feeling we were being watched. Then they followed us out the gate (without entering their code, piggybacking our exit)....and continued to tail us for over 4 miles! Kinda creepy, but what you gonna do? After a nearly a YEAR of storage our Unit Rate was risen nearly 100% with rental increases every 3 months.

From $150-$290... If your looking for a long term storage don't store here! However for 3 months or less storage you would be good to go without any bug increase of 20-40%.

They also do not price match or accept you buying a new web rate storage unit to replae your current one.

uHaul around the corner only had 1 price increase in 12 months and gave a free month with a moving truck rental which turned out to be a great deal and it costs less than I paid with the web rate at extra space.

I hope this helps someone that doesn't want to spend extra on storage.
