Terrible experience. Dropped watch off may 31st bc it stopped working. I get a call battery replaced and it's fixed ready to go the same day. Couldn't make it so came 2 days later to find out it stopped working. She said it was working cause the date did change and we decided they'd hold it and send it to the master watch mechanic. No problems so far...
Get a call back June 13 saying they couldn't fix it and will have to send to master mechanic... I asked isn't that what you told me you'd do 2 weeks ago??? So no progress at all but I'm cool with that I have other watches. No big deal...
Come August 7th they tell me watch needs full over haul. Would cost about 200 and take minimum 3 weeks. I was reluctant but I said OK. After having some time thinking, that's more than half the cost of the watch I'd rather not spend that kind of money on a cheaper watch so I called back the 11th saying I didn't want it fixed. She said we'll it's done already. I told her how??? You said it would take 3 weeks at the minimum and it's been 2 work days.. She said we'll it's done. I said OK.... She said I can ask the owner if they can do a discount. I said sure and waited til August 19th..
Called them back since obviously watch wasn't done. They definitely were trying to get it done in the mean while. She said I can't get into contact with the master mechanic... Which is weird bc if it's done already, you told me you'd ask for a discount from the owner... So story is flopping.
Anyways, I call September 5th asking any update on my watch, she says to me she can't get into contact with master watch mechanic. I'm sorry but I don't believe you bc it's been months at this point and that's what I told her. She says it's not my fault I can't contact the master watch repair mechanic...then who's fault is it? Your the store who deals with this master repair guy. Is it my fault?!
Shady business and I don't even expect the watch back. I should have taken it to govberg jewelry in ardmore. Lesson learned. I thought bc it was small business owner they'd have some good service.
I don't deal with liars or shady business. Business should always be clear....
Read moreI took my necklace in to have my chain repaired and they completely ruined my necklace. The necklace was admittedly an older piece given to me by a relative 15+ years ago. I told them how important this necklace was to me and was encouraged to purchase a new chain to put on the necklace. I put down a cash deposit and left the necklace with them on 4/14/2022. I was told that my necklace would be ready by the following Saturday, which was 4/16/22. I never received a call but I didn’t make a big stink because it was Easter weekend and I figured there could be a delay. I called the following Tuesday to follow up because I had not heard back and I was told that they would call me back; which they did that same day. I was told that there were some people out because of the holiday and there were some “issues” with the necklaces, but there was no specification on what said issues were. I figured it would be a small issue because they were only changing the chain and “cleaning it up”. I admittedly also didn’t ask what the issues were. I was told that the necklace would be ready the following Friday and I could come pick it up and I was told to bring cash. I waited again the additional days and again no call. I called a 2nd time and was told that the necklace was still not ready but that they would call me. For the 3rd time, I called and was told, Oh, we didn’t call? I’m so sorry. Your necklace is ready to be picked up.” We agreed for a Friday pickup. Today I go to pick my necklace up and that basically buffed the finish off my necklace. The finish is very lumpy and inconsistent. And the necklace has a slight dip in the middle where you can tell it was snapped in half. The response was that it was “superficial” and that they could but the ridges back into my necklace. They never called to say that the necklace got snapped or that they polished the finish off. They did in fact put the new chain on and I guess the necklace is stronger which is the ONLY reason I didn’t give them 1 star. They have poor communication and they ruined...
Read moreFor my very first visit, I brought in 4 watches for repair and battery replacement. The older Asian guys there don't speak much English, but they seemed to know what they were doing. They replaced the batteries, and charged me $32. I asked for a receipt, they insisted they don't give receipts, but I can come back anytime. I asked them again, because that sounded fishy and made me nervous. They still declined, but they PROMISED they've never had any issues, I can come back if any of them is defective within a year, for a replacement battery. I said fine.
So guess what, a few months later, ONE of the watches died (the watch that I liked the best out of the 4). So today (Jan 19th, 2019) I took it back there, along with 2 other watches that needed replacement batteries. I explained to the one guy there... Well everything in the 1st paragraph. He kept cutting me off, saying that it's not possible, that their batteries last at least a year.
I tried several times, to explain to him, gently, with very small words, everything I said in paragraph 1. He kept cutting me off. He opened the watch, took the battery out, examined it and saw it was almost dead. Yet, he kept cutting me off with "No, no, must talk to manager, come back Monday". He said other stuff too, hinting that I didn't get that battery from his store.
After I picked my jaw up from the ground, I took my stuff and walked out, never to return. I then updated my review from 4 to 1 star (wish I could give it Zero stars).
Don't go here. Just... Don't. Spend the extra $$$ and patronize and establishment that gives transaction receipts, and isn't...
