So we found these guys by accident. We tried to book another fishing boat who was already full for the week and they referred us to Kona Dream.

Wow! Top notch experience. The boat itself is the nicest fishing boat I’ve ever been on with lots of high grade teak wood trim and the cabin is AIR CONDITIONED. That is worth repeating, the cabin has AC and makes their huge leather couches so comfy and I was initially hesitant to book an all day trip because of previous experiences on non-AC fishing boats.

The fishing gear is the best money can buy. I looked most of it up online while I was on the boat.

Crew was incredible. Captain and deckhand had lots of experience landing billfish, tuna, wahoo and Mahi mahi.

The real proof of how good this boat is - we landed a 250lb marlin on a day every other boat was struggling for a bite!

According to the deckhand and captain who have worked multiple boats out of Kona this boat has the best “luck” partly because it was purpose built for marlin and the vibrations and noise have been engineered to make sure it doesn’t scare off skittish fish. This is the...

These guys are absolutely fabulous. The amount of work they put into seeking enjoyment for us is five star! This was our second time with them even though the first time out all we cut was bait fish experience was still amazing both times. We saw hundreds of dolphins spotted a whale in the distance and I caught my first tuna. The guys were patient knowledgeable and encouraging while I pulled in this beautiful Aji tuna. It took me 50 minutes with a shark chasing it was quite at fight. The cabin is Air-Conditioned ,clean and relaxing when a break from the sun and sea salt is needed. My wife and I had an amazing trip on the Kona Dream. It was the cherry on top of an amazing Hawaiian vacation. We caught a beautiful blue Marlin, huge Mahi mahi and saw tons of marine life including a pod of pilot whales and porpoises. Captain David was incredibly fun, professional, knowledgeable, and experienced. The crew was super hard working and provided excellent training on how to land a big fish.
