Many of the posted photos are incorrect and instead of the Nat Historic Park many miles south, south of Captain Cook. There are no ki'i (wood figures if the gods) here. This Heiau didn't have much in the way of signs explaining it. Just the sign explaining the whole site at the entry points. There are many other Heiau to see on the island...

As with most historic Hawaiian stone structures, it looks like preservationists have had a hand in partially rebuilding these ruins.
