I met a friend here earlier this morning to conduct a drug deal in this parking lot. It was sketchy at first and I felt paranoid. While I waited for the buyer to arrive I noticed a cop car entering the lot and an older woman exiting the coffee shop who was looking at me as if she knew what was up. At this point I decided to put on my sunglasses in an attempt to hide my eyes from what was going on around me. Looking through the many scratches from repeated tosses onto my dashboard, I scanned the plaza parking lot one more time and gazed upon the newly laid asphalt with bright yellow painted lines. All of a sudden I had this warm moment of being at peace. I knew that serenity wasn't far from my grasp. I was not afraid anymore! It was at that moment the cop slowely drove out of the parking lot and I stated to breathe a little more normal. Until I heard a loud knocking on my passenger window.
