I went to the doctor this morning for a torn muscle in my shoulder ( in pain since the weekend ), he gave me a prescription for a muscle relaxer.
At 9 this morning I went to the drive through pharmacy to drop it off to wait for it. I recently moved and wrote my new address on the back of the prescription. I told the tech to update the address and I needed to wait for that prescription plus another.
We were told that the soonest they could get it done was 3 PM. I told the technician that I couldn't wait until 3, I was in a extreme amount of pain and I need it sooner. She replied that it couldn't happen because Walgreens were doing covid shots... So my prescription for a non-narcotic muscle relaxer takes a back seat for covid vaccines? I understand that both are important but one shouldn't take priority over the other. If this is going to be a everyday thing, I'd rather move pharmacies. Why wouldn't there be a pharmacist to administer vaccines while the other verified prescriptions?
Finally, my scripts were ready after the promised time of 3. You can't neglect other patients needs because of Covid vaccines, that's inconvenient...

Secondly, when urgent care tells you that this specific Walgreens has had technical communication issues with receiving prescriptions. You are not to get loud and nasty with me. If you didn’t receive the prescription, you can keep your attitude to yourself and tell me my next steps. You are dealing with children that are sick coming from urgent care. No parent needs your nonsense. If you are incapable of dealing with the public, perhaps you should get a new job? The two gentlemen in front of me that stated urgent care sent over the prescriptions and you said no they didn’t, didn’t that raise a red flag that possibly your system is at fault? Perhaps you should put energy into checking this out? You should be ashamed of yourself. How dare you speak to a mother and a father with a sick child the way you did. I really hope you don’t encounter the same nonsense as a parent that you put us through tonight. You are a disgrace. And that’s how I feel...
   Read moreTook my son for a covid test. They get a 1 star because they took forever even though I was early for his appointment. The lady who was "helping" us was way too busy with her own conversation. She actually took my id card in her hand as she preceeded to cross contaminate her entire work station with her gloves. Than she tells me that I'll have the results in 24-48 hours. Ill have to look them up myself. Well 48 hours later and the lab still says they haven't received his test. Why because they don't accept incoming tests over the weekend. Really with everything going on.. I expect so much more. I was tested on a Sat with Cvs... had my results in 24 hours. It didn't matter it was a weekend. Never again for me!! I wish their website would have explained all that when I made the appointment. I could have taken him elsewhere.
