This is the 3rd time eating here. I have been trying to give it a chance. I have stayed quiet until now. The staff is horrible! They are a bunch of teens fooling around joking around not professional! I ordered my food and young lady taking my order at drive thru was rude with an attitude and rushed the order. I wait for my food another young lady was talking on phone, the other one was rude while taking my card to pay. I felt like I was in a high school auditorium dealing with teens with chips on their shoulders. At the end of the day its their job they should be more professional and represent Popeyes organization properly. This will be my last time eating raw chicken, cold sides, and horrible service. What a shame its a new location with some poor staff to represent the company. I'm sure corporate would not want to see whats going on there. Also I am editing because the owner responded to my review and wanted to rectify the problem only to ask if I would edit my review and give them a three star. What a shame more worried about the service given than actually resolving the issue. He just wants us to change our rating and review. Not worth eating...
Read morePopeyes: if anyone ever read my posts, I give places a few tries before I write. We can all have a bad day and it isn't fair to the establishment. But POPEYES!!!! I've been a fan since the 90s. Every, EVERY, time the place is amazing. The new Popeyes in Hazlet is no exception. Crowded. I mean holy moly crowded. Quick Service: we did the drive through, parking is tight so we had to be courteous and cognizant as to not get hit. Staff: every popeyes had great staff and this is no exception. The loud speaker was clear, the menu before you order is always welcome and the person taking the order was to the point and professional. The Window: I'm in a mid size pick up truck and it was fine. If you are in a car go about 10 inches from the window so you can get your food. Pulling out to Rt 36. Be careful and it's cool. Cars were parked down the highway to get in. Believe me, it's worth it. The food: I cannot say it enough. Give me an AMEN. I love this place, I love the food. Even the soft drinks tasted better, like a real soda and not some water downed cola drink. The Verdict: I'm guilty of loving Popeyes, this staff in Hazlet, amazing. Fun, professional...
Read moreI went to Popeyes recently and was immediately met with a very long line. It took quite a while to get to the counter, and when I finally did, the person who took my order turned out to be the manager — which honestly explained a lot. He was making things unnecessarily difficult and seemed more interested in creating confusion than actually helping. It felt like he was the main reason everything was moving so slowly. I ordered two classic chicken wraps, and they were disappointing to say the least. They had barely any sauce, and the lettuce inside was mostly the hard, white, inedible pieces — not what I expect from a place that should know how to do a simple wrap. I also got mashed potatoes that were cold and had a grainy texture. Totally unappetizing and honestly not even edible. To top it all off, I ordered a large strawberry tea, but I was handed a regular-sized frozen lemonade cup instead. That’s not just a small mistake — it’s basic customer service, and again, the manager didn’t seem to care.
All in all, this visit was frustrating from start to finish. Poor service, bad food, and mismanagement all around. Definitely not the experience I...
