Extra Space Storage — Local services in Hazlet Township

Do not store here. When I needed to dispose of garbage I was told the dumpster is full and to put trash back into my unit since the facility can not accommodate me. I tried to explain that I simply can not as this trash absolutely must be disposed of and was met with hostility. What on earth do I pay for if not to be able to use the full scope of the facilities including the on site dumpster? Am I supposed to come back around their schedule when the facility decides to take out their trash, like I have all the time in the world? Why is there only one dumpster? I am extremely disappointed and angered at this complete lack of customer service. I pay and deal with the random rent increases quietly and this is just unacceptable. Additionally, the woman working customer service was extremely rude and made it a point to find me and hassle me in my unit then threaten to charge me a ridiculous fine for something that is their responsibility all while I'm sorting through my deceased loved ones old things. She offered me no solutions as if it's my problem this place is overflowing with garbage. Absolutely terrible, insensitive, and rude. I will not be storing here...

They SOLD my unit I never got any letters something was wrong I got a letter saying I canceled my insurance on the unit I did not I called spoke w Matt he said my unit was SOLD the same day the letter was dated and mailed I said why didn’t you call me he said we did the number changed and it was I said I didn’t get any letters in the mail he said they were mailed I said I will come in to get copies of the notice you say were sent out about the unit he said I can have them I said why ? He said I can’t give them out He said why unit was sold at an on-line auction I broke down crying I told him this unit was my life ALL new stuff for a house we were saving up for I said I have personal stuff from my mom please contact them for at least that He said I will try he never did I am so...

Simply the best! I have rented storage units before and by far, the Extra Space Storage facility in Hazlet is the best. The facility's staff is professional, efficient and friendly. Karen went out of her way to ensure that I had the right storage unit to meet my needs and that I was comfortable with every aspect of my rental. The facility is super clean and in excellent shape. All details surrounding security have been well planned and are in place. What sets the Hazlet facility way above the rest, is the strong emphasis that Marty and Karen have placed on Customer Care. They go to great lengths to make each customer feel that they are a valued member of the Extra Space Storage family. I would highly recommend this...
