After spending nearly an hour searching for a place with scallops, I finally found this spot on Google Maps perfect timing since I had to get back on the road for my 2-hour and 40-minute drive to PA. I walked in to place my order in person, and I also decided to grab a boba tea. Unfortunately, when I got my order this afternoon, I was pretty disappointed on my drive home I ordered shrimp and scallops with vegetables, and I was expecting 6 shrimp and 6 scallops since I saw 6 shrimp . Instead, I got ONE sad scallop and about six medium-sized shrimp. I can't even begin to express how upset I was ONE scallop the one thing I was craving and I did mention at the desk I been craving scallops and found this place lol ?! but this felt like a total letdown. The flavor was great, but the portion didn’t match the price or my expectations. It’s hard to enjoy a meal when you feel cheated, especially when the dish doesn’t come close to what you paid for. I also came back in to add some bao buns but this was before my meal was ready bc I added it in on to my order (the sweet bean filling), and while they were tasty, they could’ve been filled more generously. The staff was sweet and friendly, which I appreciate, but overall, I feel like the restaurant really needs to step it up. You can’t shortchange customers like that I’m not usually one to leave negative reviews, but I really hope this feedback helps improve things for future diners for others . If you're craving a proper serving of scallops, you might want to be cautious. I don’t know if I’ll come back though bc I mentioned about how I would come back when I am in the area...
Read moreGreat dumplings! Great soup! Everything else was just okay... We ordered two different dumplings: chicken & onion and vegetable. They were both excellent. The vegetable fried rice was okay I guess. I expected there to be more vegetables, at least broccoli in it, but there was none. It was also very eggy. The teas were not very good. The one tasted so bad we left it on the table almost full, and the other was just an average strawberry tea. The sesame noodles were the worst part though. They were served with this peanut sauce that we were not expecting. They weren't very good and had a terrible aftertaste. Do not recommend!!! The egg drop and miso soups were both very tasty! The miso soup was slightly on the salty side but was still good.
I know it seems like I did a lot of complaining in this review, but in all honesty this place is very good. I'd definitely come here for dumplings, but I'm not sure if I'd order any of the other dishes. And other people seem to have a similar opinion... On our way out, we passed a table of two that had just left, and they also left their boba (almost full), noodle dishes, and other food—the only thing with empty plates were the dumplings. Overall, I'd recommend this place for the dumplings but that's about it (maybe also the soups). But the dumplings are worth trying!! Also the restaurant is pricey. We spent over $60...
Read moreWent with some friends and we got a handful of different things. For the drinks, I got the Grape Slush, which is awesome and hit the spot -- this was so good that instead of brain freeze, I got straight up chest freeze. It hit the spot.
As far as the food, the dumplings are pretty awesome, delicious and fresh. They ask you when ordering if you want the dumplings steamed or fried. Each 'order' of dumplings is 12 dumplings. I would say they are medium sized -- I do not have a photo -- and as such, will need to go back!
The location is easy to get to, and there are two sections when you enter. On the right side, you have an area where you can just the Boba Tea or Slush drinks. On the left, there's a large open dining area with booths and tables where you can order delicious food.
The prices are decent. Also, the Wontons with Spicy Sauce is awesome. We asked for more of whatever makes up the spicy sauce, and they said they aren't able to provide just that, which made me sad.
Awesome place. Highly recommended.
For three people, with some drinks and several orders of dumplings equated...
