As a relative newcomer (3 years) and NOT having attended church for over 30 years, the co-pastors (Andrea and Dean) are the reason for my why I’ve joined. Their engaging sermons, open hearts, clarity in translation of bible scripture has brought me through their doors consistently. The community focus, their ability to engage the congregation and the community around them is unprecedented IMHO. Since April of 2020, they’ve continued to innovate to bring us to church via zoom, but also in the field of the church because it’s not the building that makes a church - it’s the people. Small children, youth programs are alive and growing. Andrea and Dean continue to innovate to create connections during COVID including “porch angel” drop off of something small to leave on some ones porch. The weird thing was, that while actually being there no one ever talked to us outside from the youth pastor or pastor saying hello. No one was interested in engaging in conversation, even at a potluck meal Dec 19th 2021. We sat at a table alone and nobody engaged with us. I'm honestly heartbroken. I wanted to feel a part of something, but nothing. I know there is a church here that would truly want us in their congregation. We never were invited to a Sunday school class or church event outside of normal...
