I attended the auction the last Sunday of the year. It was my first time attending an auction. I was excited I was very disappointed. I feel as though the people that work at the auction have things rigged up when you’re bidding there are guys that actually worked there for the auction, the standing and back there bidding making the bid go up higher, which is unfair. Another thing is you are not allowed to bring a mechanic and you don’t know anything about the cars the cars are sold as is I purchased a car from there. The car is a lemon. I pay 3300 for as soon as I picked it up from the auction, the lady gave me the information where to take it to get smog. I took it around the corner from the auction because she gave me a card. They charged me $60 for the smog it did pass Mark , have my son drive. My car is crap. I took the car around the corner to the mechanic to find out what was wrong because the car makes a loud noise. It sounds like there’s something wrong with the tires rubbing up against something. It’s just awful anyway. The guy told me what was wrong with it , I had it fix the car still making noise. I just can’t believe it and I had to pay the guy $1323. That was not the problem. I’m not mad at the guy because I know this is a business I am upset because at the auction I just feel as though they’re not honest with the customers and they’re selling lemons , there’s one I think it was 46 cars and there was one car that off the back the bidding started at $4000. The other cars were lower so that means they knew that there was something wrong with all the other cars except for that one that they were starting to bid out at $4000 this is terrible so now you get stuck with a car which I paid 3300 for $60 I’ll pay for the smoke 1300 and I believe $23. I pay for something that the guy said that was wrong with the car. That’s not the problem so now I have to spend more money to try and get this car up...
Read moreHere we go... Let me tell you about my experiences at the High Desert Public Auction... First time I bought a car from there the experience was great, car was in good shape and all paperwork promised was received. Second time around, the experience was not so great... on Sunday Feb 12 2023 I attended the auction and realized that a new team was in charge of the auction and the drivers also double as salesmen. During the auction they recommend not bidding on the block and to wait till the end so that they can "help you out". At the end of the auction they provide you with a list of the cars that did not sell... pay special attention to that part because if you paid attention on the auction block... they claimed those cars sold... trying to play on your emotions of going home empty handed they try to sell you the cars for way over what they even made to on the auction block. Be aware of these dirty sales tactics to get you out of more money. I am a sales manager by profession so it was very easy for me to see the tactics used at this auction... Be smart, pay attention at the auction block because they will also add fake bids in to make you raise your current bid. If no one enters a bid after that fake bid the car does not sell even though they claim it sold and you will see it on the list of cars they try to sell you at the end... Good luck to everyone out there!! Stay sharp! And to High Desert Public Auction, If you need help with developing a more honest way to produce sales at your...
Read moreHave a friend who got a car from here, nothing but problems since day one. Drove off the lot and car breaks down immediately. Close to find out later that this place erased check engine lights and codes prior to auction and then sold the car. Once she is able to repair car and take it to dmv for paperwork, it turns out that the car was never even properly transferred from out of state (Ohio to California) and still had old license plates and registration, oh and they rolled back the miles on the car. We have the carfax to prove from using the Vin number. nothing matches up.we have been trying for a week to return the car after complaining about all the issues this place has caused and money that was wasted to fix clearly what was a lemon to begin with. The lady that has been "trying" to help us has done nothing but give us the run around and has been very rude and condescending to us, absolutely is convinced that they are trying to help us get our money back, yet has rescheduled our meet up everyday since Tuesday 7/6, it's now Friday and now we still don't have any one here to help us and keep getting the run around. It wasn't until 5 o'clock we got our money, when we were supposed to meet at 1 in the afternoon. Very un professional
Don't do business with these people. They are shady and are just in it for the most money that they can get with lemon cars on...
