Freeman's Car Stereo — Local services in Hickory

I had an appointment with another place in Hickory 🙄 who decided other business was more important than mine and didn’t bother to tell me before I drove 26 miles there. My friend sent me the number of Tint 127 and the owner there couldn’t get me BUT he put me on hold to call Freeman’s to see if they could being I drove all the to Hickory. I was a voice on the phone, an annoyed voice on the phone and none of these people knew me. I’m an hour and a half I had an appointment (even though Freeman’s is booked 5 weeks out) and got my windows done. I get migraines and I just bought the car brand new and the tint was almost non existent. I had the car for a week before the tint and looked forward to getting it done as I had migraines everyday for the glaring sun (even with sunglasses) and headlights at night. My other car had factory tint from the dealer when I bought it new two years ago. These guy are great at Freeman’s. I only knew Rich’s name because the owner of Tint 127 told me to ask for him, but everyone there is super nice and helpful. They did a beautiful job on my windows, including windshield. They let me stay there and wait for my car. Answered all of my questions and even told me things I didn’t know to better make a decision on how dark of tint I wanted. Wish I could give more than 5 🌟. I don't recommend anyone buy or have their products installed. They don't stand behind their products. I had a Viper security system installed in my 2020 Charger in June of 2023. I purchased every add on available. Tilt sensors, window sensors, etc... all of it. Just last night on 4/19/24 my Charger was broken into. On my property security camera they broke out the backdoor window and crawled in my vehicle. I'm currently out of town and only was aware of this bc I checked the camera footage. I didn't get a single alert on my phone from the Viper app. Not one!! No vibration alert. No alerts from the window being broken out. Nothing! After dealing with the investigator I called Freeman's to ask them how could this be? I paid $1,000 for that system. I know any alarm won't stop theft but the whole point for the extra sensors is to be ALERTED of a theft in progress! They literally told me that there is nothing they can do about it. S.O.L!! They don't stand behind their products or the installation of them. Go elsewhere or become a victim.

Great selection of products to choose from with friendly, helpful staff that take the time to answer any questions you have to make sure you are purchasing exactly what you want and need.

Installation time is all related to how extensive the products are that you are purchasing, but I was pleased with the timeframe that it took for the head unit that I purchased to be installed. The installer even sits with you in your vehicle after the installation to answer any questions you may have and show you some of the features of your new system and get you connected with your phone initially. Even though they were closing soon when I was finally able to get away from work to pick up my vehicle, I never felt like I was rushed.

They do offer early bird/night owl drop off with a brightly lit parking lot with cameras and secure lock box to drop your keys in for your convenience. This helps greatly if it is difficult to get away from work at times.

There are a few more things that I want to add to my vehicle, and after the great experience I had here, Freeman's will be my first stop in the future when I am ready...
