We had a wonderful experience at this Mattress Firm location in Hickory this past Saturday. Milton was amazing and took excellent care of us. Our mattress was a 12 year old pillow top, so to say the least we were in desperate need of a new mattress. The only thing we knew for sure is that we didn’t want a pillow top again, other than that we really didn’t know what we wanted. Milton was so nice and knowledgeable, and provided us lots of good information to help us make an educated decision. He was very patient as we tried out numerous beds, asked lots of questions and bounced back and forth with trying to make a final decision. He even worked with us in terms of our budget and the price point we were trying to stay within, while still getting us the mattress we wanted so that we were not just settling. I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent customer service Milton provided to us. I had kept putting off mattress shopping because I was dreading it and expecting it to be a frustrating and miserable shopping experience, but Milton actually made it enjoyable! He was so nice, helpful and never made us feel pressured at all. We purchased our new mattress on a Saturday evening and the mattress and base was in our home within 46 hours, delivered the following Monday afternoon. I was shocked at how quick and easy the delivery was as well. Last night we had one of the best and most comfortable nights of rest that we have had in years. Ken was great and Greg too. The store was clean and there were lots of mattresses to choose from. Lots of brands and styles to see. They took the time to explain payments to us. Ken was very knowledgeable about which mattress is best for an adjustable base. We even got a new free adjustable base with the purchase of a serta pillowtop mattress. They had great attitudes and were friendly and patient. Also held door open and made it easier to navigate the store for my client who was in a wheelchair. They were a pleasure to work with. Our sales representative spent time with us helping us choose just the right mattress and was very knowledgeable and friendly and professional. However, when our selected mattress arrived and wasn't what we initially ordered we discovered he had switched it for another he found comparable in the same line to get it to us sooner without asking us if we would be satisfied with the substitution. Instead of the Serta 4000 plush we had purchased, we received the new 3000 plush. Same price, but not the one we had actually laid on in the store and carefully selected. When we spoke with him and we expressed we wanted the exact one we had selected, he quickly apologized for failing to communicate before switching and re-ordered the correct mattress. We were allowed to keep the 3000 until the 4000 arrives in another 10 days since our new Ease adjustable bedframe had already been set up by the delivery guys. If not for this, I would have happily...
