They “fixed”my shattered iPad screen. The same day i picked it up from being repaired, the screen cracked again without being dropped or anything. I had to battle them to get it fixed without charging me another $200, and they were very rude. One woman who works there actually yelled at me for asking them to repair it free of charge, based on it only being “fixed” for a couple hours. It was a terrible experience. They finally did a second repair that lasted a year.. breaking again recently. I was surprised It broke again because it was in a heavy duty otter box case this time. I got it repaired elsewhere, and found out from the person who worked on it, that select tech didn’t do the original repair correctly.. leaving screws out of the lcd screen so it wouldn’t have pressure put on it from a swollen battery. If they had done the repair correctly, replaced the battery, and secured the lcd screen, it likely wouldn’t have broken again. Stay away...

Honestly, I took it into them to get it cleaned and new thermal paste put on. I know it was probably a hassle to get the laptop taken apart but they did it. For only about 80 bucks so I’m not too upset. Though, I gave them my charger and laptop, before I brought it into them it thermal throttled very easily but it held charge and had no problem charging with my charger. Funny thing is, when they gave it back to me today, it suddenly couldn’t charge my laptop anymore, it wasn’t powerful enough and they made it seem like a very common issue. It’s just a bit weird that all happened after I brought it into them when before it worked fine. Now I’m stuck spending even more money try and even get my pc back to a decent state again. I might come back but that’s a big might. Overall though, they did what I asked, I just don’t think they put everything...

With our having used Select Tech for several Laptops and a desktop computer in our family, we have always been satisfied with their work. We are grateful for the friend who recommended them to us. They were also willing to say up-front, if the problems with a recent laptop were such that they weren't sure if they would be able to resolve the issues. We went back to the laptop manufacturer for that repair, but continue to rely on the expertise from Select Tech for our devices, without a question.

Updated for 9/18/25 - we have been out of the country for several days with laptop issues. Select Tech has been an excellent resource for us, even in spite of the distance.
