Dawg Pound hotdog — Restaurant in Hickory

Two stars because the food is good, and reasonably priced (though the chip selection is, uhm, odd). Anyway, I pull up at lunch and there are 6 cars in one line, and 4 on the other side. I pull around to the smaller line and proceed to wait for 20 minutes for the cars in front of me. After that inordinate amount of time, I pull to the window to place my order. The lady pokes her head out and says "Wait, I am going to give these ladies over there their order first." So, this group of SIX ladies with SIX individual orders comes from the outdoor table and uncomfortably tries to squeeze between my car and the window. You couldn't avoid eye contact and each of these ladies was as uncomfortable with the situation as I was, and were apologizing profusely for something that wasn't their fault. The cashier took her sweet time and kept making small talk, all the while I continued to wait... So after waiting my time, and having the equivalent of another six cars put in front of me, this lady could not even bother to take my order and have it prepared as I was waiting for these other ladies to be served. After another 5-7 minutes I became annoyed, and went next door to Hannahs drive thru, and had a better meal in 3 minutes. I will go back to the Dawg Pound, but only if there is no crowd. Have been coming here for a little over a year. And have never had a problem until today. Anytime I come through and ask for a reaper dog the worker taking my order will ask what I would like on it. Not thinking anything of it bc I am a constant customer I ordered my food in a hurry. I was given my food shoved into a extra small bag like normal. & Drove 30 mins home to find out I got a bratwurst on a plain bun (when menu says sub roll) with ketchup on it. Who in their right mind would eat it with ketchup? Furthermore was never asked about any toppings? So why ketchup??Returned back (30 min drive) all for the worker to be persistent I was in the wrong that they have never and are not supposed to ask for toppings and charged me for another reaper dog and refused to take the previous brat back. Customer service was horrible and as a frequent customer I feel blankly disrespected. Will never...

We've always loved to eat here, BUT, as for the last two times we have gotten a Hot Dog they have been soo mushy from the slaw juice by the time I get one bite ate the whole bottom was already plum soggy... The first of the last two times I had to just take it back it was crazy soggy from the get go... they replaced it with a completely DRY slaw Hot Dog, haha!! (tasted wierd)!!! *The second & last time while ORDERING I asked " IF she would drain the slaw some so it wouldn't be SOGGY.. she replied "YES, I WILL"!!! Soon as we get our order, we pulled into a parking place to eat.... (can't eat inside) YEP ~ OF COURSE IT WAS THE EXACT SAME THING.... "PLUM SOGGY!!" After two bites I couldn't eat the rest, YUCKKKK.
