We recently bought a loveseat from them. Randi the assistant manager helped us with our transaction. Before purchasing it, I wanted to make sure that it was stationary with no rocking mechanism. The one on the sales floor that was similar to online had the rocking mechanism and we were adamant about not having that. The name of the one online and in store were slightly different and the one online said nothing about rocking, just reclining. I told her we wanted to be sure it didn't rock before purchasing. She rang us up, then had us pull up front to load. They dropped couch off of dolly before we loaded it on the truck. Then we get home and the assistant manager just blatantly ignored that we wanted to be sure it didn't rock. We paid in cash in full as well. I was disappointed because for a bigger purchase, she had a don't care attitude about it. She was quick in getting us out which I guess was a good thing but didn't listen to what was important to us. So we now have to live with this couch for at least a few years. In the future, please don't sell things to customers without making sure they are getting what they asked for. She even said to us as well that she was pretty sure it didn't rock as well, but never actually made sure we were getting...
Read moreWent to buy a king bed frame that was on sale. Upon the clerk checking to see if they had one in stock he informed me that they had one but the box was severely damaged. When the stocker brought the bed up to the register I began inspecting the contents of the box for damage to the bed. This required me moving around the entire box while it was on a dolly at the back register for furniture sales. In doing so the stocker kept pulling the dolly away from me as I inspected the bed for damage. While speaking with the sales clerk I requested that the damaged box be noted on the receipt. When I attempted to move the bed on the dolly out my way so I could pay, the stocker again pulled the dolly and kept saying I will take it out once its paid for as if I was going to roll the dolly to the front of the store out the door load on my trailer without paying for it. I became very annoyed by hos actions and requested the managers phone number on the receipt as well. Read morecalled the store from another big lots to make sure they had what we were looking for & made sure to get the guys name who was working with the furniture so we knew who to go to when we got there. we were waiting for someone to help us at the furniture register & someone walked by us(who at the time we didn’t know was an employee-sweatpants,no name tag, walkie talkie hidden in pocket)so we went to the front desk & asked for daniel & they told us no daniels worked at the store but they called someone & it was the same redhead person who walked right by us at the register. we got our stuff which was on hold under our name after 20 minutes of waiting. we get it home, unbox it, and we’re missing pieces. we call the store and they tell us there’s another box. get there, have to deal with the same redhead guy who obviously did not want to be there. wanted to speak to the manager but she was with someone else (wasn’t worth fighting that battle after all the hassle i’d already been through). come to find out not only did i not know there was another box i had to pay extra for it, RIDICULOUS!! the only reason I give this big lots one star is because...
