I never would have discovered Carolina Red Cafe if it weren’t for a visit to the DMV. While waiting in the DMV line, I happened to spot a sign that read "Hot Tea and Coffee" a simple yet intriguing invitation. Curious, I decided to investigate and ended up stumbling upon this hidden gem just around the corner.

Though I had originally planned on grabbing a coffee, I couldn’t resist trying something a little different: a Pineapple Mango Smoothie I added Greens. It was absolutely refreshing perfectly balanced with tropical sweetness and a hint of earthiness from the greens. The smoothie was not just a treat but an energizing boost that made the wait feel much more pleasant.

What truly made the experience special, however, was meeting the owner, Rodney. His personality is as vibrant and welcoming as the cafe itself. It's clear that Rodney isn't just running a business he’s creating a community. As I ordered, I couldn’t help but notice the way he supports other local small businesses, proudly displaying their products and making sure to recommend them to customers. It's this kind of generosity and camaraderie that truly sets Carolina Red Cafe apart.

The atmosphere is cozy and unique, with a warm, inviting vibe that immediately makes you feel at home. It’s the kind of place where you want to linger and enjoy your drink, whether you’re grabbing a quick pick me up or spending some time chatting with Rodney and fellow patrons. Had I not gone into the wrong entrance to the old mall to go to the tag and title office, I likely would not have seen this sweet little cafe. After my business was finished at the tag and title office, I went back to order a drink from Carolina Red Cafe. My first impressions of the space was that it was a quaint and cute cafe that felt welcoming and calm.

I ordered a tropical island lemonade, and it was probably the best lemonade I've had in a long time. Rodney made it just right with the perfect blend of tart and sweet - it was refreshing and delicious!

Carolina Red Café is one of my favorite coffee shops! Rodney is always there to meet you with a smile and is very accommodating. Service is quick and the coffee is delicious!
