I had a bad experience returning an item, Highland Park, this week. . It was 30 days exactly to the day of purchase on the receipt. I called first to verify, that I could return it and they said. Yes.. I rushed over in the harsh weather, just to get there and be told several reasons why I couldn't return item.. Never worn. They said the system rejected it due to January having a extra day, so I should have came the day before... Then they paused and said at least, I should have came earlier that day, about the same time I purchased the item, a month ago .. WTH... Totally ridiculous all the confusion and lies told to me in order to deny me a refund. No accountability of the fact, I called before I came, just to make sure, all was good. They were very insensitive to the fact, I drove 20 minutes to get there... Not willing to compromise or make an exception.... I asked for a manager, no one was available... They gave me a number and name to follow u with... The next day I called manager and she informed they made a big Mistake.. so they basically didn't know their job. Manager, told me I could return to the store and receive refund... If you the know weather in the city, the last week , it has been horrible with several inches and deep freeze. I, who have mobility issues had to make my way back up there... I was the only one inconvenience and the only one that knew what they said, was inappropriate not correct.... The non nonchalant mature sale ladies didn't care .....No apologies, no compensation for poor service and my inconvenience. Only gave me a return, that I should have received the first time I was there. I think sale person, manager should have made a offer of compensation for my time and business..... I hope the manager train their staff better going forward..... There's a huge sign on counter, reassuring customers of their policies and 30 day return..... So why was I treated like that, with no Accountability...... Customers - Beware of...
Read moreI came in a couple of weeks ago, on a mad chase to find some pants that fit me right. I'm not new to Ashley Stewart, but new to the location. I had been let down already before walking in this store, trying on at least 20 pairs of pants at the warehouse store and not finding anything suitable for work. I am 6 feet tall, heavy set with a unique body shape, so few retailers have my fit, and I found that out at the surrounding retailers in the area.
Once I stepped into Ashley Stewart, I saw that a lot of women were shopping inside. That's a great sign of what quality clothes are provided. I skeptically grabbed a pair of Trouser pants and was directed to a dressing room. When I say I put the pants on and realized they fit the way they're supposed to fit (and I am a true size 24 for the correct retailers NO DOUBT), I started dancing in the little stall! My day was officially better! I actually told the cashier that coming here had relieved me of the misery I had earlier that day trying on all those other pants. It's something women like me face all the time; having to chose to wear smaller, low-quality cheap clothes that make us look sloppy or them fitting right for an expensive price that is most likely not something a lot of us can do. I got a true deal getting the pants basically 2 for 1 and for the mood-boosting quality the pants gave me, it was worth it!!
I ended buying two pairs of bootcut jeans for $40 (that fit marvelously and make me feel invincible) and two T-shirt bras for $35, though once I got the bras home, the straps were flimsy and did not support me the way I expected (and I ended up returning those).
I would definitely return, and will be returning soon to boost my...
Read moreDefinitely not a friendly manager. Despite our efforts at being polite to her she was very sarcastic and rude. I purchased pants at another location that had a hole in them. She went on to tell me that the other store did something wrong and I need to watch it as she was returning them as a courtesy. Seems to me if the store made an error, why not call the store and let them know. She insisted that I tell people how to do their jobs. When I asked her how would she feel if a customer told her how to perform a transaction, she replied they could not tell her how to do her job. Which was my point that went over her head. I am the customer. I do not know AS policies and procedures. She blatantly stated, "I don't have to do this. I'm doing it as a courtesy to you." I had my friend with me and we both saw things as we entered we wanted to buy. However, the rudeness was the reason we left and will never return. If you read my reviews, customer service means everything to me. You will not disrespect my patronage and think I will give you the money I work...
