Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Highland Park

This is the literal worst Popeyes in the chain. And that is seriously saying something if you have ever been to the location in Downtown New Orleans on Canal St. I have been to this one a half dozen times and each time was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt for each mess up. A missing side? no big deal. a slightly longer wait? Okay. But when I am the only person in line and it takes 10 minutes to take my order, and another 10 minutes to find out they're out of filets and can't fulfill? I think I could have found that out 19 minutes ago bro. But you still somehow gave me a total. And had time to save my lunch break. So yes I'm hangry now, but it didn't have to be like this. The staff is nice enough, if "straight disrespectful about my time but with a smile" can be considered nice. So, this location got half a dozen good faith attempts to get right, and just can't, so I'm going to pretend like this location doesn't exist anymore. It is what it is. Fix the headsets, fix the broken screen, clean your parking lot! I get this is Highland Park but you are a multimillion dollar company. Actually, I don't get it. Very disgusting restaurant. They never clean the lobby, even after homeless people been in there all over the tables and so on. Also THEY ALWAYS never have menu items.Not once, twice but on every time I have tried to order something,the wait until I have already paid then they come back and say we ain't got it. U want chicken instead. Today the manager on duty told the crew that was huddled up over the chicken to just give me chicken instead since they didn't have the shrimp. She didn't even ask . The old last cashier is SUPER Rude and nasty. Ignored me saying excuse me more than 4 times, she was also up there coughing and carrying on at the food station and touching the things and food boxes (touching everything) after being the cashier. This store needs to be closed down. Why is there never any Mac ad cheese or shrimp. Are they stealing it. I'm done with this location most definitely. I was there 05/24/2024 at night , I approached the intercom and sat for a minute for my order to be taking. No one said anything. I then said “hello, are you’ll taking orders at this time?” I got no answer. I then sat and waited for a little bit about 1 more minute. No response or anything. And mind you there is no one in the drive thru line but me. I then approach the window and find a heavy set woman staring at me with a grim look on her face. She had braids. I asked her were they taking orders. She said to me “Yea but you need to wait, you didn’t give me a chance to respond to you at the window” I then told her that I said “hello” no one answered twice when I said something so I pulled around. She then said I was rude for not waiting on her. I didn’t appreciate her calling me rude and I didn’t do anything wrong. Someone needs to give her a re-train or take some sort of disciplinary act action on her because I’m sure that wasn’t her first time doing that...
