Craftwood Lumber and Hardware — Local services in Highland Park

I have been to this store 2x, after recently moving to the area. My first experience consisted of no one around to help; then when I asked for help the salesman seemed bothered to be answering a simple question. My second experience was even worse. After calling to see if they had a product, and waiting on the phone for almost 15 min...I was told they had what I was looking for. I went to the store and once again waited for at least 10 min for someone to help me. When someone was finally able to help they had no idea what I was talking about (I was just looking for a certain type of staple.) Despite being told they had them they did not even carry them. once again the salesman was quite rude. Needless to say I will not be going back and find Ace Hardware much more friendly...

I went to Craftwood hoping to stumble my way through repairing a part of my deck. I really lucked out when I met Dennis at the lumber counter. He looked at the sample piece I brought in, confirmed the measurements for the replacement wood, wrote the ticket for how the lumber should be cut, and then walked me to the different aisles to get the correct screws and tools I'd need for my project. He even explained the proper way to disassemble the damaged piece and how to assemble the replacement. Dennis's time and attention to detail really helped so much and I am very grateful for him! I completed my project just as he said and the deck is back in business!...

I use craftwood for almost 20 years. I restore furniture and I shop there all the time for almost all my supplies. The staff is super friendly and very professional . Prices are very fair and they carry a huge variety of product . I’m keep going there( sometime even twice a day) . Because I always be treat with respect and friendly staff. I highly recommend them for all you need. They also have a wood work shop that do miracle. Price are very competitive consider that they are a family business . Thank you !!
