Food Lion — Local services in Hildebran

Before I start I will let you know I do like Food Lion I visit this one and the one in Valdese often. I like it better than Walmart but today me and my husband were shopping for our groceries. Soon as we walked in at the produce section a gentleman that works there steps in front of us he did say excuse me but he was shopping for the people online grocery he stayed there for a couple minutes knowing that we were there first. That wouldn't have been as bad I'll let it slide . Then we were walking through the store again and we were at the lunch meat . Another worker that was also shopping for people online needed me to move so he can grab something out of one of the doors . I did that's fine I understand they're doing their job . We get around to the other side of the store where the eggs and cheese and yogurt is my husband walked up to one of the doors before he was able to open it the same gentleman that was shopping the first time told him to excuse me he opened the door in front of him and grab something else for people online that ordered I turned around and looked it was both of them together .I said excuse me we are also important too. Like the ones that are in the store not just the ones ordered online. He looks at me he said well we're on a time limit . I said that's fine but this is the third time that y'all have just walked in front of us yeah you said excuse me but we're shopping we should have our turn before them. He said he was sorry he'll let the guy know even though he was one of the times that also needed us out of his way. I told him that we were important too and I understand that they are doing they job. But I shop at Food Lion so it doesn't feel like Walmart . Because if you were at Walmart they're always shopping for the people that ordered online always in our way . Don't care that we're also shopping. I just hope that they understand that if someone is in your way go to the next item then come back when no one is in the way. Don't say excuse me then step in front of them rudely for us to wait on those people that ordered online . Because I will stop coming to food lion also just like I stopped going to Walmart because of the same situation. Please fix this to whoever manages the store. Because we had a buggy full of groceries and my husband said he was about to just leave it there because of the rude man he said thank God I...

I was falsely accused of stealing this happen when I went to get groceries picked up an item put it back because I changed my mind however I continued to purchase the rest of the groceries when I was actually paying the manager from that particular food Lion accused me of stealing yelling screaming everyone in the store and parking lot was made aware of what she was falsely accusing me if all this for an item that I had actually put back on the Shelf when I able to demonstrate not to mention prove that I had left item on the shelf that I had never even begin to think about taking the item she didn't bother to apologize actually what's even more ironic is that I was only carrying a cell phone and a credit card I had no purse no pocket nor anything to try and take anything out of the store and then we're even crossed my mind on top of the fact that I was speaking a different language I was on the phone and she questioned that as well so my perspective of the reason that she even accuse me falsely that way is because I was speaking a different language racism when I asked her for her name she said it was none of my concern. To my knowledge it's being investigated from past experience this means they are hoping I forget this ever happened and I let it go. But God has this and he does perfect justice. Not to mention I'm looking for an attorney. Tired of the injustice. Had she politely asked in a more discreat way maybe been different. I have never been so humiliated in my life not to mention discriminated against from a store on which I shop in frequency. I'm talking in there four to six times a week . I can't make any...

When Food Lion replaced Winn Dixie at this location, it was a welcome relief. The Winn Dixie had become run down with dated interiors. Food Lion really cleaned up the store and made it the go to place for me for some time.

However, I started noticing that I paid almost double what I pay at other supermarkets. Example, Bertolli frozen meal soups cost $7.99 at Food Lion. The same soup costs $4.99 at Walmart. That's a $3 difference. I also don't like the way that they are pushing their brand over everything else. Another example, Pet-Ritz Pie crusts. Don't go looking for them at this Food Lion, because they don't exist. Only the Food Lion brand can be bought. Sorry Food Lion, but some things you just don't mess with!!!!

I really want to do my shopping locally, but common sense and economic sense dictate that I shop elsewhere. Now, I only run into Food Lion when I need one or two things and don't have time to go to Walmart or elsewhere...
