Rorschach Gallery 2.0 — Local services in Hillsborough Township

I called the Rorschach Gallery to make an appointment and the woman who answered the phone was very polite. She gave me an appointment to come in for a consultation with one of the artists. My consultation was with the artist, "Hoagie." I spoke to him and showed him what I wanted, and he said he would be in touch via email to show me sketches of my idea, and we made an appointment to have the tattoo done. A deposit of $80 is required up front. Hoagie emailed me within a few days with some sketches and we came up with the perfect design. Tattoo day came and the atmosphere of the shop was very relaxed yet upbeat. The shop is SUPER CLEAN-One of the cleanest shops I've ever been in. All equipment was clean, and sterile. The actual tattoo experience was hands-down the BEST experience I've ever had in a shop. ALL of the artists in the shop were SO kind, funny, and genuine. Hoagie made sure I was comfortable, and relaxed. I'm not going to say the process was pain free (it's a tattoo. Lol) but I didnt feel nearly as much pain as I have with my other tattoos from other shops. The entire process took about 3.5-4 hrs. We took a break midway. So, I have left reviews for the South Plainfield with Hoagie and Brian in the past, as both of them did amazing jobs on tattoos for me. I wanted to try another location, so I chose 2.0 for this special occasion. The location was extremely clean and everyone was very nice to my family.

This was special, as my daughter designed this piece. She wants to study art/animation, but a friend had advised her to also look at tattooing. So this was her 1st design for me bringing together multiple elements that are personal to me.

Still, I was concerned a bit about who to do the actual tattoo. I looked at the different artists' work and felt Jaiden was the one to go with for this piece.

Allow me to be blunt. I could not have been more right. Jaiden did an amazing job, not only with her skill, but also with talking to our daughter about tattooing (she wants to ask about how one gets an apprenticeship when she gets older now). She was able to assist with finer elements of the design by how she did the tattoo (shading) and she made the entire experience for both me and my daughter wonderful. Can't recommend her as an artist enough and look forward to having her again...

Recently had a half sleeve done to cover up 3 older tattoos. After being told by other tattoo shops that it was impossible due to the colors in them, I visited Rorschach and with extreme confidence I was told IT CAN BE DONE. I made an appointment with Marcel for consultation and expressed what I was looking for. Marcel drew up a rendering and before you know it I was on my way to the greatest tattoo ever. The Hillsborough location is clean, friendly and classy. I made made many new friends there. If anyone thinks tattoo artists are uneducated people and can’t work a regular job, they are seriously mistaken. The talent here is unbelievable and have had training or schooling in art. Also, you can have an intelligent conversation. I had the opportunity to listen to some conversations and trust me they were inspirational, educational and intellectual. One person sticks to my mind and that’s Danny (He has a band) and is well versed in the ongoing of life from everyday things to politics. I even had the opportunity to watch him guide a newer artist.
