Neat place to visit with kids or with pets. Look up the legend of Jake the salty dog before you go--there is an illustrated version available online for free. The staff is very friendly and enjoyed our kids looking around. There is very little that is breakable and plenty of room between displays, so it was a nice souvenir shop for a family to walk around in without worrying. They have live pet parrots outside and sample dog treats inside, as well as dog and cat toys and treats for sale. There is bike parking and car parking. They have tons of the t-shirts they're known for, along with large windows where you can watch the t-shirts being printed from the kids' area. In the kids' area, they also have plush animals, the Jake storybook, soccer balls, frisbees, pencils, and a lot of other things. There is a little table with coloring pages and crayons for the kids, too, if they get tired of watching the big screen printing machines or looking through the plush animals. In the other side of the store, in addition to t-shirts and pet items, there are the usual souvenirs like keychains, ornaments, magnets, and some food and...
Read moreTL;DR: you can visit this for free, rather than paying a fee to walk/drive to patronize the cafe itself. Wound up going to this location, rather than the actual café with the selfsame name, originally because it seemed like it would have a larger selection of merchandise. After buying a shirt, I attempted to actually go to the café to try the food, but found myself blockaded by the SeaPines community gate, advising I would have to pay a $9 fee to enter before would be able to reach the cafe, which was a bit perturbing. Decided against it, because that seemed like some exceedingly silly and frivolous spending, and who isn't trying to make every dollar go further these days. All in all, store is bright and clean, with very friendly staff and an extensive collection of shirts, hats, stickers and so on. Glad I went here first, than doing...
Read moreYou should definitely check this place out if you love the salt dog cafe. They have a huge merch selection- plenty of different colors and shirt types (comes in handy when you have a picky husband). They have any type of merch object you’d be interested in! And this is their shirt factory so you can see where they make all the shirts in the back of the store. It was also a bit chilly out so their birds were inside and in the back of the store too. They all have their names and ages available on the glass-...
