Ray's Lanes — Local services in Hobart Township

Terrible customer service and wish I didn’t have to give a rating at all. My mom, sisters, aunt and cousins were visiting family here, we came from Minnesota and Kansas. and we all wanted to go have fun and spend a little more time with our family before we headed back home, so we decided to come here. The staff member took forever to give us our shoes; He was rude, didn’t even greet us, and seemed as if he wanted to refuse us service. He slammed all our shoes down and said “I need money for these” — as if we weren’t going to pay, my mom asked if he accepted cards and he abruptly cut her off and said cash only. We paid for all our shoes,!but he was still extremely rude and nasty. Now mind you, he was the one keeping us waiting. We didn’t come in hostile, we didn’t break any rules and we waited for him to come and help us and he stalled, but was acting as if we were in the wrong. He kept walking away when we were asking him questions or needed help. He also didn’t let us finish our game and said he would charge us if we tried to finish and kicked us off the lanes. I know for a fact had I been a certain color he wouldn’t have treated me or my family the way he did and we saw how he interacted with certain types of people vs how he interacted with us. But I guess that’s what this business wants to be known for. Wouldn’t come here unless you like businesses that discriminate...

I've been here 3 times and 2 of the times the owner has been extremely rude and annoying. He does not know how to talk to people. He yells like adults are children when he is in the wrong. I bought a pair of shoes. I gave him $20. The shoes were $2 which means I should have received $18 but I only received $13. When I stated it he automatically became rude and began yelling. He watched us the whole time as if we were doing something wrong. I guess maybe it was our race. I will never support or send anyone to that place. One time we even had our children with us. I did not appreciate him yelling when he did not give me back all of my money. Do not yell at adults sir cause I'm going to yell back. We went to have fun and his stank attitude ruined it. We had 17 people with us and he treated us bad. No one wants to return. He should learn customer...

This was one of the worst bowling alleys ive ever been too the older guy at the front desk was rude. Not very clean. Whole place looked beat up. The bowling balls sucked and almost every time you bowled you would never get your ball back because there was always a malfunction even when you hit reset! They had a whole menu of food but I was told they could not cook any of it. The guy at the front counter was also smoking cigarettes inside when it clearly says on the door no smoking! I thought that was very rude considering there were children around with the smell tracking everywhere. Finally our whole lane ended up getting shut down because all of our balls got stuck and could not get them back and the guy shouted “move lanes!” And the lanes were way too oily Would not recommend this bowling alley to anyone not a good...
