First time getting a full service massage here and it was ok. I booked the last appointment for Sunday evening and I think that was the biggest downfall. I ran 5 minutes late to my appointment (chaotic day, but totally my fault) and I called the front desk to let them know. They said it would be fine and they could help me get in right away. The moment I walked in, I was escorted to the changing room and then shortly off my massage. When I met with the masseuse, she gave me a quick overview and asked some questions and then let me get ready to lay down on the table. I didn’t count the time down, but it very short and next thing I know, the masseuse knocked on the door, then immediately opened it before I could say anything. I wasn’t ready and asked for a 30 more seconds. When she came in, she apologized and said she knew I was late and wanted to move quickly. Not a good answer.
The massage was fine and was almost the 50 minutes that I paid for, probably a few minutes short, but not a big deal.
I also had a scalp treatment scheduled as a perk from their grand re-opening event, but when I was done with my massage and asked if I was still getting it, the masseuse was confused and said it wasn’t part of my schedule today and that she would tell the front desk.
When I got changed back, my masseuse was waiting and escorted me to the front desk (even though she already told me what to do after I changed). This gave me the sense of rushing again.
I got up to the register and the lady helping me said she would take the scalp treatment off my bill, even though my masseuse didn’t know about it. Seems like there was a lot of confusion. I explained to her that this was not even supposed to be a charge and showed her the paper I received from the re-opening event. She said she would honor it if I called and mentioned it next time I booked while keeping the piece of paper. There was no notes made or anything, so I supposed I need to take her word.
I wish I could say it was an amazing experience, but being the last appointment of the day was a real disappointment. I get that they are all ready to go home for the day, but I wasn’t moving that slow and shouldn’t have to feel rushed. Not sure I’ll be...
Read moreI have been to the Woodhouse a few times and had the most amazing experience. This time I left disappointed and a little frustrated not with the spa but the manicurist I had. I arrived check in was great, enjoyed my time before my manicure and pedicure. My manicurist said she was new and had only graduated a month or so prior. No big deal I was just getting a mani pedi. I paid and set time aside to have old gel removed. When my old gel was removed she barely buffed my nails to make it smooth I had to ask her to smooth out the nail surface. She was very timid and barley used the cuticle trimmers on my toes or hands. I felt like my mani pedi was just her removing old gel and putting on the new. I got really upset as she was painting my toes and using the gel lamp with the pedicure tub still full of water. I asked her to drain the water I didn’t want to get electrocuted. After that the appointment felt off and I couldn’t wait to leave. I think the manicurist needed more experience. It’s common sense that water and electricity is a dangerous combination. I wish I left there feeling better about my visit. But I left feeling upset and frustrated. And I’m a week and a day out from my visit and already have...

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Disappointed. I’ve gotten great massages here and have been coming for a while. My sister went into labor in the morning and while at the hospital I obviously did not think about my scheduled appointment. The front desk member who called me was rude and not very understanding. I asked if the cancellation fee still applied due to the circumstances (how am I supposed to know when she would go into labor). She said that they could have worked with me if I gave them a heads up. Am I supposed to call them in between contractions? I asked her if my first thought was supposed to be about my appointment instead of family. She said that’s not what she meant but if felt like that was exactly what she was implying. She said the massage therapist now has nothing to do, but I’m not quite sure how that is more important than the birth of my niece. Not hopeful that the manager will contact me and not planning on returning if this...
